Explain please to a newbie

HI all- I hope to be a "owner" soon. I have an offer pending ROFR at BWV that I purchased resale for 50 points- APR use year. This contract had 50 points from 2008 plus 2009 etc.. I am hoping to pass and actually make some reservations for this july.. I know this will be very short and we are pretty flexible so we just want to make a reservation anywhere- I'm assuming we will be at least able to get SSR or OKW... BUT, if we are not able- can these 2008 points be banked until? If I have read right, I would have until NOv 30 to bank the 2009 points correct?

We are very new to this. But from our conversation yesterday with MS, we were told that you have to notify DVC by Jul 31 of your intent to bank points. We also have '08 points and were told that we can bank them and must use them by our UY in 2010.

if the contract had pts in APR 2008 that were banked into the APR 2009 UY, they will expire on March 31, 2010 at the end of the APR 2009 UY. points can only be banked one time.

(and to the prior poster, different UY months are different - a DEC UY is still in their 2008 UY and that requires you to bank by JUL 31. if you bank DEC 2008 pts, they will expire at the end of the DEC 2009 UY, which is NOV 30, 2010.)
