Expiring points: What to do?

I would rent them out yourself. The demand on the rent/trade board is pretty good. Just be sure to use a contract.

FWIW, VGC is booked solid through the 7 month mark and we don't know when it will open but .... I've now rescheduled 4 trips from April to October (currently wait listed), May to Thanksgiving (wait list came through), July to February (was open at the time, now full) and now September to April (I'll be rebooking an additional night with the points from my cancelled Sept points today).

So if you wait list VGC, it might come through. I'm batting 50/50 so far for our trips (although none of my points are expiring until May 2021). They'll open whenever the metrics allow the state to give them guidelines. If the fires don't cause more clusters/outbreaks due to evacuations, the numbers are going in the right direction atm.

All I can comment on is what WE did.
DVC owners, homed at BRV. We will be robbed of 147 points, as of 3-31-2021.

We have donated these points to a wonderful family, withing driving distance of WDW.

Sounds as though you are talking about points that were already banked into ur April 2020 UY?

Now, find yourself not able/willing to utilize the points. I do feel your pain re missing a triP this year. Still, holding my breath some of ours will happen
