EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Okay- dumb question time- What does RPC, I've seen it on the Grand Floridian Board but I cannot for the life of me figure out what it means.

Royal Palm Club! It's the club level in the main building at GF. The other CL (a separate bookable category) is in Sugarloaf (or SL) which is one of the outer buildings at GF. :)

DH and I just returned for 4 nights at the BC. We were there with the kids pre-reno in 2012. The new lounge is huge- a def. improvement over how it was before. We ran into no problems/evil eyes when getting alcohol.

We were in room 5655 which is right down the hall from the lounge. The interior of our room was beautiful with the full balcony we requested. The first morning we realized we were right next to the prep and storage area for the lounge. They start their breakfast prep just shy of 6AM. Lots of dishes clattering, the ice machine seemed to run for about 5 minutes, you could hear water running in the sink and people coming in and out chatting. DH can sleep through anything. I can't. By the second day I did mention to one of the concierge CM's that the walls seemed pretty thin (although we never heard anything from the people staying on the other side of us) and asked if between 6 and 7 they could try to keep conversations quieter but it didn't seem to make much difference. So heads up for the light sleepers out there- you might want to avoid that room.

We did find the desk staff to be a bit perfunctory. They seemed to spend more time chatting with themselves and I felt as if we were interrupting to ask a question. This morning as we wheeling our bags past the desk they didn't even offer us a goodbye. I'm not sure we will do CL at BC again. We booked this trip only about 6 mos ago and knew we wanted an Epcot resort and this was one of the few rooms available. It was a great location but I'm not sure the service was commensurate with the price.

LOVED the video, it all started with a Mouse... *sigh...

Erika, I can't remember, do you use online check in for CL stays? Does it matter?

I did use online check-in last year for all 5 trips. I was skeptical to try it at first but ended up having good luck with room assignments. :)

Our last stay at the BC CL was March 2014. We didn't feel the love at all. We switched resorts mid-stay and haven't been back since. I love the BC, love the location, love SAB, love Cape May, love Beaches n Cream, love Teena, love Hurricane Hannahs, it really is almost perfect in every way except the CL staff. In my opinion they have no interest in being friendly or helpful. We had AWESOME CL staff at CR, BWI, and the WL last year. I'm hoping to keep the streak going with RPC this summer. :thumbsup2

We didn't feel the love . . . :) Earlier this month, I'll say that one CM - Jen - was the exception. But I agree with you, even though I love love love BC.

Online check-in has been working very well for us. With a huge "knock on wood," I'll say that all of our requests have been granted with online check-in, with one exception: when we requested a boardwalk view for our BWI CL reservation last year, we received a garden view . . . 2-bedroom suite! No complaints here!!

Hello everyone!!!!!!!!!!!! :jumping1: I am so sorry I've been MIA the last several days, I've been chained to my computer and phone with the gosh darn discount release!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it Friday yet??????? :faint: I love Disney, I love Disney, I love Disney, but for the love of Pete this week was a nightmare. Worse than a nightmare, a nightmare FANTASMIC!!!! :scared1: I think I can safely say (knock on wood) the worst is over, so I'm back to the DISboards to find my happy place. :disrocks:

I am so sorry if I missed anyone who wanted to be added to our Guest List on page 1. I scrolled back and found one person, but if I missed someone please just send me a PM and I'll get you added asap! :cheer2:

I am so ready for vacation I can't even tell you! Only 86 days til I'm living the Grand life drinkin' my Grand Splash ;) and enjoying a break from work and this insane life. :cloud9: Man after this week I need this trip to come quicker.

Hope everyone is doing well and having great trips and trip planning!!! I just shared this video this morning on my website and thought I'd link here too in case anyone needs a little mid-morning pick me up!

I filmed it with my iPhone so not the greatest quality, but the music makes me happy!!! :earsgirl::earsgirl::earsgirl::earsgirl::earsgirl::earsgirl:

Wow that was great. We all loved watching it. Thanks for sharing!

:thumbsup2 We do too....this is one of the reasons that we really enjoy the new FPP system..which I initially wasn't in favor of....
We hated FP+ when it first came out because we had already figured out how to get the most out of the other system. But it didn't take long to realize how much more relaxing FP+ makes the vacation! Before, you couldn't sleep in or go to breakfast or all the good fast passes would be gone. Since my girls sleep until 11/11:30 am now, it really works well for us:)

Same for us! We haven't done a rope drop in two years. I love FP+!!!

Just made all our ADRs :) Surprisingly good options still available even though it's less than 3 months out. I'm not sure we'll keep them all, but I'm pretty happy with this list. We didn't do any of these on our last trip in March, except the BOG lunch. What do you think:

Chef Mickey's (first night's dinner, then to MK for EMH's after)

Be Our Guest Restaurant (lunch on first full MK day)

50's Prime Time Café (dinner, last time we ate here it was miserable, want to give it another try)

Le Cellier Steakhouse (dinner, my favorite)

Rose & Crown Dining Room (dinner, Connor's favorite)

California Grill (dinner, haven't been there in about 5 years, will my kids like the food?)

'Ohana (dinner, canceled this ADR last trip due to bad reviews, hoping menu changes have improved)

Teppan Edo (Nic's birthday dinner, his all time favorite)

I believe I can use my TIW card for all of these except Teppan Edo, right?

Went to use online checkin for our WL CL stay - I had choice of ground floor, 1st floor... (yes, each floor level) no other choices. I thought that was a bit weird...

Which is why I always skip the room request section when I do online check in and call in my requests. The options during online check in are limited and sometimes don't make sense.

I didn't know I could call in a request - thank you! I didn't have much luck in using the email I received...

Do you call the concierge number directly to make room requests, or the main Disney number? Also, how far out from your check in date do you call?

I email IPO and also have the Disney CRO note my request.

Great list!! I don't think Be Our Guest lunch qualifies for TIW either - just dinner (only know this cause it's on our list too!). I have the following:

T-Rex (my youngest's choice)
Be Our Guest (this one's for me )
Whispering Canyon (oldest wants the skillet)
Via Napoli
Yak & Yeti
Crystal Palace (my middle son ALWAYS has to eat here!)
Beaches & Cream
O'Hana (just for my oldest and I - his favorite - other boys don't like it :sad2:)

We're doing all of these for lunch (except O'Hana of course) - we like getting out of the midday heat.

People who have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge Club Level lately... Are they still serving Jungle Juice Mimosas?!

We were there last weekend and Jungle Juice was available all the time. I did not see any champagne available in the mornings. I also didn't look or ask. There were liqueurs to add in the evenings but we just bought a bottle of Coconut Rum to mix in.

You might send IPO an email asking or give them a call.

Hope this helps.

Liz
