I had an interesting conversation this morning with an online friend of mine about club level at WDW. She has never given it a try because she said it's for "rich people who want their a$$@$ kissed".Pardon my french but I wanted to quote her word for word. I then started giving all my reasoning behind choosing club level and why I don't think it has anything at all to do with wealth. Anyone who goes to WDW is coughing up big bucks, and I know for a fact many families spend more on their non-CL vacation than I do when I stay club level. She acknowledged my opinion but said she doesn't feel comfortable vacationing with "club level type people".

I actually feel sad to think there are people who feel this way.
I have had a similar conversation with a co-worker. He touts to me that he could go to WDW and pay 1/2 as much as I am paying staying CL this October. He stays at values, uses every reward mile earned to pay for his flights, and has two little girls so much of his time at the parks is standing in long lines for character meet and greets. oh - and they go to WDW every.single.year. Fine for him, if that's what he chooses to do, but that is not my kind of vacation. This is our 2nd trip to WDW in four years,...we just don't go every year because when we do, we want to feel like we are really on vacation. It's all about priorities.
I think this perception is common. There are those who feel that value resorts are for poor folks, deluxe for upper middle, club for snobs. It's such a skewed viewpoint. I have a friend who is a doctor who can afford to stay anywhere, but she and her family almost always stay value or moderate. I've met families of modest means at the deluxe resorts and on club level. It's all about what's important to the individual, it's not one size fits all. Never judge a person by their hotel room!
Well said. I couldn't agree more.

They haven't met my MOM! My sweet mom and I had a wonderful time at poly cl in November. Mom and dad live very frugally on their social security and small pension. They lost their house in 2011 to a flood and after 50 years in a paid for house had to move and get a mortgage. I thought that was gonna kill my dad.
Especially now that I'm single. But I don't have many expenses, my car is paid for, I'm not a big time shopper, I don't do nail appointments, or belong to a gym, or have any expensive hobbies, so all my extra money goes to WDW.

I will add you right now! I spent last Christmas at the WL CL, such a beautiful time to be there!
I guess one person's value is another's waste! Just shake your head and grab another dessert and cordial (that they will be paying for!)

What a perception....
...That literally made me lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nothing beats a monorail resort split with an Epcot resort in my opinion!
