EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

I can't wait to get to Stone Harbor Club!! We added a night on so 7 glorious nights YAY

Yay for the extra night :yay:.

On one hand, it's not ideal because you do need to stand to see the view. On the other hand, I do like the coziness.

I agree :).

I loved hanging out in the lounge, where there are beautiful views of the courtyard, lake and lobby, so that made up for the lack of view from the room.

This is one of the reasons WL CL ranks a very close second (for me) to GF RPC as I love the beautiful views/surroundings of both lounges :goodvibes.

That's really the way everyone should do it! My 11 year old never uses a chair, so we don't need to reserve one for her. Most kids are in the pool! I think another problem is simply that people don't remove their towels when they leave. It's really not that difficult to put them in the towel return! I hope you enjoy the pool this summer. I can hardly wait:)
I agree with this. We saw many people leaving their towels on the chairs at GF and never returning.

We had an issue with a chair piggie last year at GF but this was at the marina while waiting for Wishes. Dh was getting a salad and we needed a chair for him so I noticed a couple sitting next to us with 2 extra chairs. I politely asked if I could take one and was told no because their children "might" be joining them. Well long story short the children never showed up. My dh and I just looked at each other and shook our heads. Some people are just unbelievable.

Well I changed it! I took the deluxe king room 7/25-8/1  Thanks so much everyone for your help and advice! Better go update my countdown! :D
Yay!!!:cool1: We would have been there at the same time but we had to move our trip up 2 weeks since my oldest dd will be going away to college in August.:guilty:

Working around the kid's schedules is insane! My boys are both going to end up missing the last day of summer school (7/27) and I emailed their guidance counselor and assistant principal this morning to try and find out if it's going to be a huge problem. Then Nic has marching band camp as soon as we get home. We are literally cramming this in the only free week we have from now until Christmas! :rotfl:

I can't even think about college. Someone will have to tranquilize me. :faint:

The bags came down this morning and I started packing. The 4 legged kids went into immediate panic mode. Dog is guarding the door to the garage and the cat has "packed" himself in an empty suitcase. I keep telling them their other "brother" is coming to house sit! 3 days until we leave!

I hope you have better luck with a Turret room than we did! We reserved 18 months out and still ended up on the 2nd floor for our October stay last year. It's still a goal to stay in one of those ;) Being at Disney is awesome regardless of the room and I hope your trip is great!

Basically they're only good for standing to look out, if you sit down you'll just stare at a wall.
We stayed in a Honeymoon Room at WL (loved it)! We did get to see Wishes sitting on the balcony, and truth be told looking down wasn't a great view but looking out...GF, CR, AMAZING!

You know the chair hogs really bother me. We go every year in July and usually do not have an issue getting a chair. We are not doing parks this year so we will be at the pool bright and early, so I'm sure we will not have an issue. We have 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 teenage boys. We usually only take 3 chairs for all 5 of us. The boys are in the pool for almost the entire time we are there, so I feel like we shouldn't be holding chairs that they may only use for a short time.
I will admit I am nervous about chair hogs at SAB, but DH reminded me we are always in the water so really we will only need one chair to stick our stuff on...if that :)

I'm going to use my panoramic setting to take a pic of the whole room :)
I can't wait!! I'm sure you can't either ;)

I spent most of our down time at WL CL sitting near the lounge overlooking the Christmas tree. :) That was better than the balcony view. :thumbsup2
We watched EWP from the lounge too, not the closest view but add in wine and cobbler YUM!

Yay for the extra night :yay:.
DH was complaining that we don't "need" the extra night...ummmm exsqueeze me?? I DO!! Heehee!

My DS14 starts HS next year, trying to plan everything around activities UGH! Hopefully the guidance counselor will get over them missing one day :)

I am a total balcony girl, and I loved the WL experience so much I didn't mind the enclosed balcony as much as I thought I would. I loved hanging out in the lounge, where there are beautiful views of the courtyard, lake and lobby, so that made up for the lack of view from the room. As Pixarmom said, it's cozy and still a nice place to hang out and read and relax.

That's me. I loved the WL CL experience so much that I forgot about things that would usually bother me. Bus to three parks? Not a big deal. CL breakfast not as good as BC or GF? Doesn't matter. Enclosed balcony? Don't mind. More of a beach girl than a wilderness, outdoorsy type? Irrelevant. :)

So can I say this annoys me on so many levels! First, the "might" part and the fact they are holding two chairs for kids that may or may not show up when you are standing right there. Second, are these lounge chairs or just plain chairs? If lounge chairs, why couldn't the 4 of them share 3 and give you one? Third, children are a lot more "flexible" than adults and it would be polite if two adults are standing (especially if one is trying to eat) to offer at least one of the chairs to you and have their younger kid sit on the ground in front of them? I'm sure some people will argue that the kids shouldn't have to sit on the ground and be uncomfortable but if they are only "maybes" then they shouldn't be guaranteed a chair in a crowded area. Lastly, when the kids didn't show up about a minute or two before Wishes they should have then been polite and offered the chairs at that point. Sorry - this got me mad for you!!

Happy packing :goodvibes.

I'm with you....extra nights are always "needed" ::yes::

These were regular chairs with tables outside Gasparillas by the marina. I totally agree with what you are saying. I told my husband that I wouldn't mind sitting on the step and he would never go for that so he sat there.

It didn't phase this couple one bit that he was sitting on the step eating on his lap while they had 2 extra chairs.:sad2:

Hello all! ----just wondering if the Poly CL has switched to the (delicious & yummy) Nespresso
Pod type machine in the lounge yet as so many of the other CL lounges have done.

Blue I have such an issue trying to post my saved Memory Maker pics from last summer, file to large UGH...I can't wait to get to Stone Harbor Club!! We added a night on so 7 glorious nights YAY

:dance3: Woohoo..so glad that you got to add an extra night!!! Oh ya the whole posting of a pic thing.... :faint: ..lol...I have tons of pics...was hoping that posting directly from the phone capabilities on this new board would help me....

Just awful....so rude....gotta wonder what kind of people think that its ok to do that ....NinjaMom's post on the YC/BC thread on how to handle the chair piggies literally had me LOLing!!! Sage advice though ....:thumbsup2 of which I mightpartake if necessary...lol...

Trips make memories that last a lifetime...missing the last day of summer school is better than missing more days...lol..Disney logic! :wizard:....Trying to arrange busy kids schedules can be very challenging to say the least!

Poor fur babies...they don't want you to go away! Nice that you have someone to come in and watch them though..and not have to board everyone...:thumbsup2 :cheer2:Yay for it being almost trip time!!!!

Dispro :dog: Love your new avatar!

Hello all! ----just wondering if the Poly CL has switched to the (delicious & yummy) Nespresso

I was just there is past winter...and I cannot recall.....hmmm....will see if I have a picture that can help me with the answer to this....

Thanks BlueSkies! (Still considering CL at Poly or GF. Enjoyed SL's Nespresso machine immensely last year !)

I love that Nespresso machine too! I'm really happy to see it in pictures of the renovated CL lounge at BC since we're going there soon. The Poly didn't have one when we were there last October, but they could have changed it since then. If I remember correctly, they had the same one that BC had before that makes Cappuccinos, etc. but you just push a button (you don't choose and insert a coffee pod). If that's what they still have, I liked the latte with some of the flavored syrup in it. I'm sure there's someone who has been more recently that can tell you if it's still the push button version or not. Don't get me wrong. It's still really good coffee.

Oh man that would make me crazy!! We did find, at least at SAB, that the only 'chair hog' situations would really occur at the main part of the pool (BC Side near the whirlpool, with the biggest 'lot' of lounge chairs). There are many more chairs near the 'sandy beach' area. We also gravitate towards the lone empty chair near a length of toweled 'taken' chairs. If no one is on those chairs in 30 min, a towel gets moved over and it's our chair. Someone's got a problem with it after not occupying the chair for a time? Move me.

Thanks! He's my "fur baby" and he gets very upset when the luggage comes out too!

Sounds just like our two 'monsters'!! I try to take them to the kennel before I pack when I can...that way they don't get too anxious.
