Expired Bed bath and beyond coupons

It used to be that BBB took expired 20% coupons, and never said anything. I was reading online that they don't do this anymore.

Has anyone tried using them and it worked, or didn't work.

Isn't it awesome when your vacuum stops working, and your coupon is expired.

I just used an expired 20% coupon yesterday. Saved myself $10 and the cashier didn't even give the coupon a second look.

Our BB&B still takes their own expired coupons. Back when they had a competitor , there was a time when they would actually honor the competitor's expired coupons also. They stopped doing that but still took the current Linen n' Things coupons.

It always amazes me to find people behind me in the checkout line that don't have the coupons. I can't imagine buying anything there without a coupon and I give the extra ones away to the people behind me in line. I'm sure the cashiers love me for doing that! Maybe you will get lucky and someone will give you an extra.

I used one a couple weeks ago that had an expiration date of 2 years ago. Cashier didn't even look, scanned it. Went through fine.

Try again. Maybe you got a newbie cashier who doesn't know the policy.

If for some reason they still don't take it, wait till Sun. There might be a new one coming out in the Sunday paper inserts. You could also try "trading" for one. I got 3 one time from a fellow couponer. I saved like $30 and I PayPaled her $3 for the trade. For a new vacuum, it would be worth waiting for a coupon.

Often times if I'm with my mom there we'll tag team and we'll both take a coupon and use it! And yes, they are pretty much always expired.

Even if you buy 5 things...if you have 5 coupons, you can use them. They don't even have to ring it up separately...they just apply it to the entire purchase at once...takes 20% off the 5 highest amount items (if you are buying more items that you have coupons for.)

Also, if you retrun something that you bought using a coupon...don't forget to ask for your coupon back! They will give it to you, but they never seem to offer it unless you ask.

Just used 7 expired coupons today. And most of them were from 2008-2009! They never even looked.

I think for awhile they did stop taking expired coupons. About a year ago, I was using one, and the cashier said they had stopped taking expired ones, but they whoudl make a one-time exception. I haven't been back to see if has changed at that store as I'm not a regular BBB shopper. I'm wondering if lots of people complained and they reversed the change in policy?

Nope...all stores do the policy different, which is stupid. My store only takes 3 coupons per order. If you want to use more coupons, you have to do separate orders.

Last year DH and I bought curtains, rods, and all the hardware. We used 11 coupons at one time! Everytime we use multiple coupons, the cashiers take the time to figure out how we can benefit from it the most. I often use different percentage off coupons mixed with $5 and $10 off coupons.

We used a few coupons (a couple expired) when we were there a couple weeks ago. I'd asked a week or so prior to that and our store said that the ones they send out, they take if they're expired. But the ones you can print off the internet they only take if they are current. We were also going to do separate transactions but were told we could do it all at once. BB&B has always been pretty awesome about that.
