Expiration date of tickets with Free Dining?

Does anyone know the expiration date of the tickets that are part of the free dining package this fall? We want to use them for other family members but may not need them until 2019.

First use by 12/31/2019 (they technically expire 1/14/2020)

I have been assuming this will be the case, too. But do we have any reports of anyone doing this? I think the first tickets are set to expire 1/14/19 (bought after Feb-2017 would expire then, before that they didn't expire). I know I have one ticket that I bought soon after the expiration dates were added (in Feb 2017). Maybe other types of tickets previously had expiration dates and we know they can be upgraded?

"Upgraded" is the wrong word here. You won't be upgrading the ticket. It's more like when you return an item to Walmart without a receipt and they give you a Walmart gift card. You can use the gift card (the purchase price of the Disney Ticket) to buy something else at Walmart, but it's not good anywhere else. The same is true for your tickets. You can use them like a gift card to purchase another ticket (the prices will go up), but you can't use them for anything else
