My am i confused

OK I originally booked many months back (8.27 - 9/4) for the CBR i got a discount rate from a CM for 8 nights regular room about $740.00 plus an upgrade of $10 for a preferred room so it would be about $820.00 hotel i already booked my hopper tickets so that cost me about $875.00.

Also i'm booked on Delta and was just checking other airlines and to get a good rate if Delta striked i'd have to change my dates to Aug 23rd-31st.anyway with the free dining and regular rack rate and a 1 day base ticket because i had to buy one to get free dining my total for 2 adults and 2 kids is $1489.00 w/ preferred room is 1632.00.

I'm thinking Free Dining is better in the long run then what i originally have what do you think?

I'm was planning on TS:

Chef Mickey - DNR
Boma - DNR
Plaza - Lunch
Sci-fi - Lunch
Garden Grill - Lunch

Now can you use 1 TS for 2 CS?

what should i do?????????????????

thanx

I am really not sure what you want to know. If you already have a package booked for that time, can't you just call and have your package changed to free dining?

I am not sure if you didn't get a package and have tickets already or if they are out of free dining for your time frame?

You're talking about spending $1632 for a package vs. $820 for a just your room. That's a difference of $812.

I guess that you need to decide whether the "free" dining plan is worth spending another $800+ for 8 nights.

It's possible that you would. I budget $125+/day for food but I have a 16yo and a 14yo. I'm not sure how old your children are, but I'm sure you'll agree that there's a huge difference in the amount of food that a teenage boy can consume compared to a little boy or girl.

There's no way for anyone to be able to tell you that "yes, the dining plan is worth it" or "no, stick with the CM discounted room". You would really have to determine for yourself what your food budget would be without the plan (remembering to factor in tax and tips). Then compare it to the increased cost of purchasing the plan. If the food budget meets or exceeds $812, then switch to the dining plan.

You might want to verify that you can get free dining w/ a cm rate. The way I understood it it was only for rack rate rooms (w/a MYW tix purchase). I could be wrong. Disney rarely ever lets you double discount.

You can't combine discounts. The OP has a package quote of $1489 - $1632 at rack rate. The CM room-only rate is $820. The dilema is whether it makes more sense to pay for a package at rack rate in order to get free dining or get the CM room-only discount and pay OOP for meals.
