What would be a better time to go. The first of March or the first to middle of May. It will be DH,DD (2 1/2 at the time) and myself. I am not huge on heat, but I also want to avoid HUGE crowds brought on by Febuary holidays and Spring Breaks. I am asking a lot, I know. :teeth:

Both are great times. :thumbsup2 We normally go in March and there can be huge crowds but it has always been managable. We are taking a mini March trip this year and our main see all of the parks trip is in May.

This will be our first time in May. The experts say it is a great time to go, especially if before the kids are out of school. We are hoping for mild but nice weather but Disney does a pretty good job of providing places to get out of the sun and heat.

Either time you pick, ENJOY! pixiedust:

I would say you have a better chance of less crowds the beginning of May. That's when we are going. We have been in May before, but the middle of May and it was already getting really crowded and really hot. I would think because of spring break you would run into more crowds in March.
Either month you choose just have a plan, make your ADR's ahead of time and you will be fine!

May will be hot, but March will be crowded...so pick your poison! I prefer late April myself!

We've been in May many times, beginning, middle & end. The closer to May 30th, the more crowded it became, hotter too. March is still school vacation season. I try to aim for the first half of May. This time we are going April 29th to May 7th. Our AP's expire on the 11th. I want to move the anniversary date more towards the end of May, so I'll have to get new ones to do that next May.
I love the weather in May. Plus, it's the Flower & Garden Festival! Really nice.

Remember, any day in WDW is an awesome day, no matter when it is!
Have fun!!

This is an easy one. Last week of April or first week of May. You will have little crowds and the weather won't be unbearable. If you can adjust your schedule to one of these weeks, you won't be sorry. You'll see me down there during the last week of April this year

Well I went the 1st week of March last year and have to say that the weather was perfect and there were very little crowds! I wore capris and t shirts everyday, and needed jeans and a sweatshirt or sweater at night. We never waited in line more than 10-20 minutes, and didn't have to use FP until our last day (only for Test Track for some reason). We're going in May for the 1st time this year, 5/13-5/20. From what I heard on here, crowds will be manageable but it will be quite warm, not so humid.

We have been the first week of March the last 3 years and we have found crowds variable, but never bad. In fact, we have found some parks, like Epcot and the Universal parks, nearly empty. We have found the weather wonderful, little rain, usually warm but not uncomfortably hot (except for one very chilly rainy day last year). We have not really found it to be perfect sunbathing weather, but with two little boys, there is virtually none of that to be had any way.

That said, this year we have a May trip planned, and we are looking forward to what I hope will be even lower crowds and very warm to hot weather.

summer for Florida's school system starts in May so you might want to try and go in March the crowds will probably be a lot smaller.

We will be there 5/14-21. How hot is hot?
