Me, DH, and DD (5) will be staying at AoA in August for 5 nights. We stayed at ASM last September and did not use a dining plan. I estimated that we spent about $500 on food (one TS meal, a couple of food court meals, one refillable mug, a couple in room breakfasts, a few in park snacks, and takeout for the rest of the meals). We have never used a dining plan before. This time we plan to do two TS meals, and I would like to get the refillable mugs as well. I have narrowed our choice down to the quick service plan, because with the other plans I think we would be spending way more than we normally would. My question is, for those that have used the quick service plan, were you happy with it?

Yes, it was enough food for our family for sure. We did check out menu's before we arrived at Disney. We enjoyed Wolfgang Puck Express, Flame Tree BBQ, World Showcase, BOG (breakfast and lunch with an ADR). I would also suggest that at AoA you use your mug for your beverage and see if you can swap out your drink for a dessert/extra side. When we were at POP Century in August, Pop food court would not let us make that swap but AoA did allow the swap, so we just walked over the bridge to AoA. It gives you a bit more value as we used our mugs and swapped for a cupcake or fruit cup for later in the day. It also gives you flexibility and more park time. We prefer regular DDP, but the QS has worked well for us.

Dh and I had it in November. We were very happy with it. We liked the flexibility of no ADRs. We could eat where and when we wanted to eat. That said, we got it for free. We would never pay for it as we could definitely eat much cheaper than the cost of the plan. Often, we can share a meal as many are quite large.

I'm thinking this too. As much as I want it to work for the convenience of it, it would turn out to be more expensive than what we would normally spend.
