Now that my trip is close, I'm thinking of ordering something from Disney Florist. I'd love to know others' experiences with them. I am thinking of either a flower arrangement or a Christmas tree, but I'm also interested in the in room celebrations. I'd love to have some decorations in the room. We're just not really interested in having a lot of snacks that we won't eat. What kind of special or personalized additions can you add? Could I get a personalized card for my mom if I get the Christmas tree? I heard that they can add glitter to flowers?

We are staying at the GF if that matters. What about opinions on what day I should order it for? We land at the airport at noon and after checkin are planning to drop our stuff and go to AKL. I hate for us to be there when it is delivered so should I order it for our first day and take a chance that we'll be there or just order it for the second day so it will be there when we get back from the parks?

Thanks:flower3:

Hi! I have two recent experiences with the florist. We were there in Sept to celebrate our 25th anniversary. My sister had a gift basket sent. It had wine in it so they couldn't leave it in our room. When we returned to our room about 10 pm we had a message on our phone. We were staying at CSR. They brought the basket down very quickly and had to check ID due to the wine. The basket was FABULOUS!!

We just returned from a trip to celebrate DH's 50th birthday. I ordered a basket online a day before we left. We were staying at POP. I indicated in the note section that we were checking into POP tomorrow. We did online checkin and when we arrived at our room, the basket was in the room. (I didn't order wine this time). This basket was wonderful as well. they are pricey, but I can't say enough about the quality and service!!:)

I used them for my Mums birthday this summer and had a good experience. I ordered flowers and a giant Mickey balloon which they put in our room as we were out. The only downside is that you can't specify a time.

I've used them many times and always had a positive experience! :thumbsup2 They do offer a lot of things online but usually I call because they can custom make almost anything you are thinking of that involves Disney characters or merchandise. Also they are very good about delivering at certain times so you can plan ahead for the surprise. :)

Dh sent me flowers last year for our 15th anniversary. I love love the vase they came in. ( Mickeys all around).

The flowers were beautiful too. dh said they were very helpful on the phone.

our friends ordered 2 months after we did... they were very pleased with the results too. (and the vase!!)

DH and I have ordered from them numerous times from flowers to snack packs (still have the Disney bag from that). Although they can be a bit pricey, we would highly recommend. :thumbsup2

I've used them for 7 years now and all the times they were wonderful. I've even had two in room decorations--one birthday and one special event. I usually go on line to see what they are offering and then call. They are really great with personalizing anything. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Wow, I'm so glad it seems everyone had a good experience with them. Do they normally come with a card that says who it's from (or from Mickey or Santa)? So I could order a make-my-own with like christmas door sash and christmas tree? That sounds awesome.

Do y'all order it for the day you arrive or the day after usually?

I ordered a sparkling wine, chocolates & cheese basket for our room in Sept. it was delivered sometime between 3-5PM. Because it had alcohol, I'd gone down to reception a couple of days earlier to verify that there were no kids in the room- this let them delver the alcohol when we weren't in the room. When I made the order over the phone I was asked what message I wanted to put on the card.

My husband ordered the "you and me" bouquet for our 13th anniversary trip a few weeks ago. The flowers were lovely and fresh and the vase was thick and heavy, too (not cheap quality). It was delivered to our room around 1 p.m., and it had a card with it with his message inside. There's a pic of them in my TR (link below in sig line) if you want to see them.

Like the PPs, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Yes, they're pricey, but worth it IMHO.

I ordered a treat/welcome basket for my DS4 this past trip. I intentionally ordered it for arrival day as it was meant to be a welcome gift from the Disney characters to him. When we checked in, it must have been noted on our reservation, because the CM asked me to wait a minute and went into a back room and then came out with it and I was able to give it to my son right away. I would've preferred it be waiting in the room, but I guess the room assignment isn't finalized until you actually check-in. This still worked out really well.

You can customize from what you see as the standard offering on their website. I just called them and was easily able to make a few changes.

They do include a card with whatever you want to say on it, but they are not able to sign it from a specific character (I'm sure there must be a reason for this, but I don't know what it is), but they will sign it "from your Disney pals".

We have used the Disney Florist x2 now and were very happy both times.

1st trip, I ordered the pirate beer/snack cooler and asked for Mickey Mouse ears to be embroidered with our names as well. The basket was delivered with in 5min of our arrival and was awesome!

This last trip, I ordered a Disney Family Celebration cooler. It was full and filled with so many snacks, drinks and deserts. It was delivered about 8PM on our check in day.

I would order from them again, both surprises were awesome way to start our WDW trip.

My husband has ordered me roses 3 times and they have been gorgeous and he always asks for pixie dust ( glitter) on them! Lol

I ordered my daughter a couple pixie dusted roses, and some treats and my step son a pirate sword and it came out beautifully!!!

They are expensive but magical!!

Thanks for all of the information, especially letting me know that I can go to the desk before a delivery with alcohol, showing me the picture of your flower delivery, and explaining about the card. It all sounds great. A card from Disney and pals would be great.

Has anyone had the Christmas in room celebration? I'm wondering what the sash and 'luminaries' are like. I want the room decorations but maybe a Christmas tree instead of the large Mickey and Minnie stuffed animals. Just wondering exactly what was included.

I ordered "A Mickey and Minnie Congratulations" and had asked for an extra bottle of Fairy Tale Cuvee to be added to the basket. The basket was gorgeouse, and even included a light-up Tinkerbelle-that was not part of the basked I ordered, but some extra pixie dust!

The Disney Florist did a fantastic job. I am waiting for my 45 days out, so I can place an order for this trip.

We got the Halloween In-Room celebration with a few extras for DDs Birthday last October. The people on the phone were very helpful making it great for 2 kids. There was a problem when they set it up (something we ordered was not delivered) but we called and it was brought over right away.

The door sash was great. We left it up all week and lots of people asked us about it. The effect when our girls first came into the room and saw it was awesome. They had closed the curtains and turned off all of the lights, so all you saw was the glow from the pumpkin and some fiber optics they had set up. All in all it was a great experience and totally worth it for us.:cool1:

On our trip last year, my fiance proposed to me in our room at POR. Before leaving for our trip, he arranged with Disney Florist to have rose petals spread out in our room and on our bed in the shape of a heart. He told them it was for a proposal and asked to have it laid out after 5pm so he could propose after we got back from MNSSHP. They said no problem. When we got back to our room around 2pm to get ready for MNSSHP, they had already laid out the flowers. I was surprised and didn't know what it was all about, and he was caught off guard and had to scramble to the dresser and grab the ring and propose. His plan was to bring the ring to MNSSHP so he could pop the question when we entered the room and I saw the arrangement. So, IMO, Disney Florist really dropped the ball when they said they could do it after 5pm and then did it much earlier. Fortunately, it all worked out, but if you have something really time sensitive - do NOT rely on them! On another note, the flower petals were pretty and nicely arranged - not sure if it was worth the price.

Thanks so much! I can't wait. I'll call and order about ten days ahead of time and see how much they'll let me change the Christmas in room celebration :santa: But I don't think I'll do anything time dependent since that seems to be hit or miss

We've had great expereinces with Disney florist. Once I ordered a Minnie cheerleader package for my daughter and her friends who had just made the cheer squad. Another time I ordered a pirate Mickey package for my friend's son. A couple of years ago, we were surprised with a gorgeous basket from some friends of ours. There were a few other occasions when we used them and Disney florist has come through for us each time.

I've never ordered from the Disney Florist, I've only received something.

A few years ago, I was on a solo trip over Mother's Day. On that day, I was walking back to my room at AKL and passed a CM who was rolling a cart with all these gorgeous arrangements. I commented to the CM, "Ooooo, you are going to make some people very happy today!" She smiled and agreed. A few minutes later, there is a knock on the door, I open it and there she is with a beautiful arrangement from my DH. I was so surprised when she said, "I guess you're one of those happy people!" :cloud9:
