Can I drive my mini van to Disney. Pay for a camp site, park said Mini van and pitch a few tents and be done with it all?
I know there are showers that we can use on the property and I am pretty sure I read that there is a nice place to eat and shower as well.
I don't even know if the family will go for it but I think it would be pretty neat to camp out at disney not to mention super cheap.

Well...thats what camping is........but I would suggest reserving a site well in advance. It would really suck if you drove all the way there and they didnt have a site available!!!

Why not?! The comfort stations are fully equipped with showers/bathrooms (some of the cleanest and nicest you'll ever find in a campground), there's Trail's End in FW for food (buffet and takeout) and you can always buy snacks at the trading posts if you want - a little pricey, but a decent selection. And you can hop Disney transport if you don't want to bother moving the minivan once you're parked.

The upside is that you'll only need a partial hookup site (vs preferred or premium), and assuming availability, you can save a good chunk of change there too! But like PP said, definitely reserve well in advance. Things fill up quickly at the Fort - especially during certain times of the year.

I've camped with as little (or less) in FAR less fun locations before. I say go for it!

I would also check out value resort prices. It cost less with some of the deals offered now. There is a deal pay four night get three free not available at the fort.

Girl, YES!!!

That is what we do. But not in a minivan, a little car! Come to think of it...I could probably fit 2 of my cars in my tent!

I think the family will love it!
