Experience with MS Phone or Chat for Reservations

I called earlier this week to put in a room request. I wasn’t asked to confirm it’s for personal use but the CM did run down the names of the guests on the reservations. Was the personal use questions asked for other members just putting in room requests? I’ve lost track.
Previous chats I have done they have asked for anything when I was lead and when I was not.
 
Just spoke with member services, I’m heading to a resort for the weekend. She did still ask me to confirm that this was for personal use, even with me as the lead guest, and the rest of us linked to our MDE. 👍

In that case they shouldn’t have asked as there were no doubt.

I chattet with member services yesterday regarding a lead name change - yes it was a rental.

No once did the CM ask me about personal use - she did repeatedly ask to enter my name and address into a form and then my password into a separate form.
 
I am confused - can you clarify
When I chat with MS I normally enter my password for my account in a separate form.

This time I also had to enter name, address information and membership number - but it was in a separate from the password form.

They used to do that with me when I tried to use my husbands login.

So with a lead gust name change they did not ask you about personal use?

No not this time - they have asked it on numerous other occasions, this to me was the most important one as I changed the lead.

Feels like of moot if a reservation have me and my family on it and I chat to add a day or something else.
 
Anyone that has been asked recently do you remember if the said terms of the POS? They did for me the first time but after that they didn’t so I’m wondering if there’s more to that..
 
From what I was told, everyone is being asked to agree to the T and C via phone and chat like we always did with online booking.

That includes the word “personal use” because that is what they added.

But, you are still agreeing to what the T and C says which, when it comes to renting, you are agreeing that not renting frequently and regularly..,

So, as long as you don’t believe your level of renting fits that…and DVC doesn’t give any context…owners are following the rules.

What seems to be CM dependent is whether or not they ask probing questions, or if an owners asks clarifying questions.

The only report I have seen…and it happened to me too…that they don’t ask you to agree to the T and C when adding room requests,,,I was not asked that for both my room and the room for my friends.

I have always been asked to confirm what the online booking says, with one change.

The CMs on the phone and chat use “for your” personal use and the online booking “for personal use”

Yes, she did for me. I don’t remember the exact wording but she said “by making this reservation do you agree to the terms and conditions of ( I don’t remember the exact wording here) and that this reservation is for (I can’t remember if she said “your”) personal use.

Okay that’s good. I was a bit paranoid thinking they removed the words “terms of the POS”

What they said to me the first time was terms of the pos. Then another time it was just terms and conditions.

Again I’m possibly reading too much into this.
