I am looking to go thru expedia for a room for NYC. It is a holiday inn 5th ave. If I go to the holiday inn website though it says there are no rooms available with double beds. :confused3 but expedia is showing one. Do they prepurchase? would hate to get to NYC and not have a room. any ideas??

Have you tried to call the hotel? I have always gotten better rates, rooms, etc. by calling the hotel (not the Holiday Inn 800 number, the actual hotel you want to go to). Give it whirl! Good luck!

Yes, usually they have a certain amount of rooms held for them.

We booked our Mexico trip through them last June and had no problems what so ever.

I 've used Expedia lots of times (including trips to Mexico & Disney) and have never had a problem. I would just call the hotel a few days before your trip just to make sure your reservation is all set. My main concern with them is that I get the correct bedding as we have kids, but I've never had a problem with it.

I almost always book hotels with expedia (Disney and others). The rates are usually better and I have never had any problems.

I've used Expedia several times and have had no issues.

Yes Expedia books blocks. I have used them many of times and have never had a problem. :thumbsup2
