We are thinking of taking a tour this year.

Any recommendations between these three:

Walk in Walt's Footsteps

Behind the Scenes

Disney California Adventure.

We did Walk In Walt's Footsteps in July 2014 and LOVED it! The people I went ranged from knowing very little about Disney to experts and everyone enjoyed it. We got to skip the line for Peter Pan's Flight, Small World and Tiki Room. It ended with a tour of Walt's apartment which I don't think they do anymore :( The lunch at Jolly Holiday was very good. Guide was amazing too. I would still recommend it even without the apartment tour!

We did Walk In Walt's Footsteps in September. It was very good despite being on a VERY hot, very crowded day. The rides we did were Alice in Wonderland and Haunted Mansion, plus a ride on the Railroad. Honestly, we were really hoping for Peter Pan. Our tour went through the Dream Suite, which was genuinely spectacular. I know people have a strong attachment to Walt's Apartment, but the Dream Suite is like a show unto itself. Lunch was also pretty tasty, though because we did the second tour, the timing was very odd. (I think we ate around 3pm.)

Be aware that it's a very long tour, and if you're bringing kids along, they might get bored.

I love the tours, have done all the tours and most of them multiple times. It's a great way to learn about the parks and see things that you normally would not get too.

If you're going during the holidays the holiday tour is great. Vip seats to the parade, rides, hot cocoa, gingerbread cookies and the special pin.

The happiest haunts (which isn't offered right now) I just did. We got to ride big thunder, Peter Pan, Matterhorn, space mountain, and haunted mansion. Treats, the pin, and a death certificate.

Walk in salts footsteps now goes into the dream suite, rides vary.

The California story, is all in DCA and you get to go into 1901. Soarin, toy story mania, and radiator springs.

In January my friend and I are heading to Orlando and will be doing backstage magic. Hope it's as good as the California ones are.

Thank you all for the great information. My kids are teenagers so I think the length of time won't be a problem.

I am really hoping for Peter Pan if we did the walt tour. Oh decisions.

Do you eat on the California one?

I just booked the Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour for Sunday, December 20th. It starts EARLY! So very excited to take my 2 teens (ds19 and dd17). She is a little disappointed not to see Walt's Apartment but I think the Dream Suite will more than make up for it. I do hope for a ride on Peter Pan (have not done that ride in YEARS!) This is a special trip . . . celebrating my birthday, my dd's birthday and my son's return from college for winter break!

We just did the tour on November 11, and it was fabulous. We too were disappointed not to see Walt's apartment, but the Dream Suite was way cooler than expected. We also rode Haunted Mansion and Alice in Wonderland plus the railroad for our attractions. Oh, and be aware that the Dream Suite tour comes after lunch.

We did Walk in Walt's Footsteps in summer of 2014 and also loved it. We did Small World, Peter Pan, the Railroad and Lincoln. The sound system was cool because we could get a little distance away from the tour guide and still hear everything she said, so we were able to look around and take it all in while she talked. They also put recordings of Walt's voice in your ear, which was awesome. Lunch was also good! We did get to see Walt's apartment, which was super cool, but no Club 33 or Dream Suite. I guess it's the luck of the draw...
