For those we have rode it - I think I have an idea of the theme of this ride and I know that it is a coaster that goes forward and backward. I am wondering if there is anything that "jumps" out at you or anything scary like that?? I LOVE coasters so not afraid of that but absolutely hate things jumping out at you - like Dinosaur for instance - HATE HATE HATE that ride!!!
Obviously the ride is fast so not sure what to expect!!

There is a part where the Yeti appears, but it by no means "jumps out at you". It is far enough away from the vehicle and actually happens so quickly some people don't even notice it. Nothing like Dinosaur.

Like the other poster stated the Yeti won't pop out at you, it's right there so to speak. If you are in the front car especially you really can't miss it. Just FYI it's big, very big & it will swoop one of it's arms down like it's trying to grab you. It's over very quick though as the ride is moving so fast. Don't let that stop you from riding though. EE is awesome!

I think you'll be just fine on EE- you never really feel like the yeti is jumping at you.

Just repeat to yourself before the ride "there is NO way that the yeti can touch me no matter what".

Go on it!!! Its great!!!! I am also a person who can't stand when things jump out at me and i didn't have a problem with this ride!! Have fun!!!

thanks everyone!! OH I am DEFINITELY riding it:thumbsup2 there is no way I would miss it. I was just wondering kinda what happened on the ride.

Thanks for the insight. I will look out for the Yeti!!:rotfl:

Great ride. . .The first time I rode it . . .DS (6) had just rode with DH (doing the baby swap thing). He told me that it would be ok if I screamed if I had to, but that the monster would NOT get me. . . :lmao: :rotfl2:

Im the WORST about things jumping out! I won't even go into those cheap carnival haunted houses with the light up heads!!! NOOO WAY! Im not giving six tickets in exchange for a heart condition!!

EE is nothing like those at all. You can actually see the Yeti from the distance as you come up to it, so its not really a big deal, its more of a "wow, thats cool looking".

If you aren't looking right where he is, you'll miss him-you go buy him that fast. I had expected the Yeti to be a LOT closer than it really is. I've ridden it twice now and can't wait to go back in May to ride again!!

You can go to youtube and watch video that people took while riding the ride.
We just went and I am not nor have I ever been a thrill ride person but we went to the EMH on Christmas Eve and walked right on. If I had time to think about it I may have changed my mind but I'm glad I didn't. We rode it 3 times in a row, DD 5 times.

I rode it twice and the Yeti, though visible, was not a real noticeable part of the ride. As a matter of fact, I barely noticed him the first time. He swoops down at you, but you can tell he cannot touch you.

And, just tell yourself, he is only an animatronic. :)
