Expedition Everest vs Rocken Roller Coaster- Which one is better?

No- it does go backwards though through the dark so little kids might be a little scared! It's an awesome ride and the mountain is absolutely breath taking! I would recommend getting there early to ride it! When I was there in May we got fast passes at 10 AM and they weren't valid until 6:30 PM! It's a very popular ride!

Everest is a good ride, but I thought it was very tame. Once you ride it once and know when the backwards part starts, it is just a nice coaster ride with good effects.

RnR is also a good ride, can't beat the launch no matter how many times you ride it. I think the whole experience is enhanced greatly with the music.

I give an edge to RnR....but neither is "thrilling" compared to coasters at other parks.

We were just there in June, we went during the EMH and the ride was empty, I got to ride it 3 times in a row with 45 mins. It was amazing. It is even more spectacular at night. The moutain is all lit up purple. AWESOME!!!

Does EE have big drops that give you the tummy in your throat feeling?
You'll pull G's going backwards (in the dark) but it's not a steep drop. There's also a drop going forwards, but it's about on the par of the Splash Mountain drop. The tummy in the throat feeling can be relieved by screaming or laughing hard when you feel it.

Can't they both be GOOD for different reasons?

Do you only eat the exact same thing every day, or do you choose one thing and then another, for the variety?

Thank goodness we can do BOTH!
:thumbsup2
I agree with Robo. Why do we have to do a better thing, when both are fun. Go to both parks early, ride em, and if you have to make a choice, that is up to you

I think they both rock, and I won't say that one is better than the other because they are SO different. For me, it is difficult to beat the countdown and takeoff of RnR, but the theming and entire experience of EE should not be missed either. Do both, you won't be disappointed!

It's hard to compare the two - being they are totally different types of coasters. But If I would have to pick just one, I would have to pick EE only because of it being new.

We just got back this week and the lines were really long. We arrived before opening - ran to EE - got fast passes (10:45 Return Time) then waited in line to ride (which took only 10 minutes or so). The one thing I was very surprised about was the total length of time the ride took. I didn't expect it to last as long as it did. You feel like you really get what you waited for.

I Love RRN and I Love EE !

EE is superior in its Yetiness, but RnR excels in Aerosmithosity.

:lmao: :lmao: I LOVE this!!! Thanks!

I can't wait to try EE - 10 more days!!! I love RnR but have learned not to ride it two times straight in a row - killer headache! :sad2:

Wow...tough call. These are really different. I think it also depends on what kind of coasters you like, especially since if you don't like going upside down then EE definitely wins over RRC. I like them both and wouldn't miss either one, EE was fun because it is new but I really like both. Plus we got the free pic from EE this past trip which was fun, had to ride twice in a row to get a decent picture! :teeth:

Go on them both. EE is my favorite but may not be your's. Try them and decide for yourself.

Just got back from WDW. Was able to ride EE once, and it's great. I really want the chance to ride it more. Alas, not until April 07. It has fantastic theming. RNR is awesome too. It's definitely more thrilling imho, but EE harkens back to the tradition of Thunder Mountain with the detail in the theme. Don't get me wrong-it's an exciting ride, but it doesn't have the heart in your throat experience of RNR. EE has Yeti. RNR has Steve Tyler. Ummm. Anyhoo. It's like chocolate and vanilla icecream. Both are great!!!! :woohoo:

Would be happy to do a marathon on both to provide a scientific evaluation!! :yay:
