I've heard they are both very good, but which one is better and/or more thrilling to ride? :dance3:

When in DAK, EE is far better.

But when in MGM, I prefer RnR.

If you like rough roller costers, then RnR is much better. But if you like soller rides that go backwords, and go into pitch black, then EE is better. I like RnR much, much better!!!

RnR is thrilling as far as inversions and stuff, but EE is thrilling from going backwards in the dark and the yeti. They are both a lot of fun, but I don't think either one is "better".

I haven't been on EE yet, but I LOVE Aerosmith (I always said I was supposed to be the next Joe Perry)...so my heart will always be with RnR

I prefer RnR. I was a bit disappointed with EE when I first rode it. Strictly from a roller coaster standpoint EE is really tame. Yeah, the backwards part and the Yeti are pretty cool, but there isn't much to the ride.

RNR is more thrilling (loop + corkscrew in dark w/linear induction launch), but EE is more unique with the mountain, multiple Yeti appearances, and the stop-and-go forward-and-backward in the dark motion (pulling G's backwards - are there any other coasters out there that do that quite this way?). If you're a coaster fan then both are musts. Fast passes are a bit easier to get for RNR, but EE has a singles line (RNR does not) that moves fairly rapidly. Each loop in the line is approximately 15 minutes, since anytime there's an odd-numbered group the CM will call for a single.

RNR is fairly unique because, aside from age-restricted Pleasure Island clubs, it's perhaps the only attraction in family-friendly Disney where you'll hear the full versions of songs like "Rag Doll" and "Walk this Way" blaring from speakers.

:confused3

They are both great, it's really hard to choose. If I could only ride one, I would choose EE, but only because it's newer and I haven't been able to ride it as often as RNR.

I prefer RnR...an oldie but a goodie and my favorite ride out of any coaster in any theme park (and that includes 6 Flags New England and NJ, Busch Gardens in VA, Lake Compounce, and Cedar Point) maybe just cuz it's Disney and Aerosmith....but hey.... :rotfl: but EE is completely awesome too!

This is such a tough question to answer.

I had never considered RnRC my "favorite" ride, but always a close second or third. There is just something about it. From the second I sit down in the ride vehicle and lower the restraint, I am excited. The "three... two... one..." and sudden launch... the split second you see the first loop in the darkness... the music... the corkscrew... the whole thing is one big exciting ride.

But there is something better about EE. The unexpected. The whole thing is exciting. Without giving away too much... reaching the top of the hill, looking around at everything... the Yeti... the backwards ride... the darkness... the hills... the barrel rolls... everything!

If you asked me today, I would say EE is my new favorite. So I would have to answer this question by saying that, between RnRC and EE, EE is by far better.

Can't they both be GOOD for different reasons?

Do you only eat the exact same thing every day, or do you choose one thing and then another, for the variety?

Thank goodness we can do BOTH!
:thumbsup2

I loved everything about EE...we managed to ride it quite a few times throughout the trip!

That's exactly what DH said after he rode EE in March....

My favorite ride in WDW is Rock N Roller Coaster. I could ride it repeatedly and never get tired of it.

However, Islands of Adventure has an AMAZING roller coaster (The Hulk) and Universal's The Mummy is also incredible to experience if you like roller coasters.

IMO, Everest is an awesome rollercoaster, and RRC is an awesome corkscrew coaster, and they are too different to compare. I wouldn't miss either and luckily they are in different parks so I'd never have to choose one over the other!

Does EE have big drops that give you the tummy in your throat feeling?
