Expedition Everest Question *Might Contain Spoilers*

Wondering if they changed the lighting? We rode it 5 times in mid-August... once from the front, the rest from the middle of the train. The Yeti was well lit and VERY obvious throughout that section of cave.

The strobes are used when the Yeti is broken and not moving. They give the appearance the Yeti is moving. This way they don't have to close the ride when there are mechanical Yeti problems.

Backwards, in a helix. This might help...............

Remove the mountains and buildings, then follow the steps you would prior to start, restraints, etc. Watch the tracks closely.

That's a cool link, how do you view the other sims on the site?

Urgh, the backwards part really hurt my head! It made me feel so dizzy, and that has never happened to me on a ride before. I closed my eyes so I never saw the Yeti. I don't think I could ever bring myself to ride it again. I am a bit gutted I missed the Yeti though.

Let me say my husband and I don't need to ride EE again but my teens would love to. I didn't see a yeti anywhere-my kids did. MY husband looked pretty rough coming off the ride. It wasn't runnning when we first got to park at opening and stopped agian after our ride and several times during the day-July25 I think. We got the first and second car and seeing the track flip after the backwards part was crazy.

Does it matter where you sit - is the front more intense or the back?

No appreciable difference in "intensity", but the very front row (2 seats) can be a bit more FUN as there will be no obstruction in front of you as you ride.

Because, unlike BTM in MK, the "engine" is in the BACK of the EE "train" instead of the front.

Only backwards once.

Forwards, up the hill, stop (while track switches).
Backwards, helix, stop (while track switches again), yeti animation projected on wall.
Forwards, yeti, end of ride.

I used Deb Willis tip from her website and it worked for me. On the backwards part, do NOT lean your head into the headrest. The ride vibrates it and that is what seems to give people the headache. Lean a bit forward with your head away from the headrest. If you have bad neck issues that prevent you from doing this, I would advise you not to ride.

Here is the link to get to the other current animations. They are really neat. http://disneysims.blogspot.com/

You do have to operate just like the rides, open doors, close doors, do restraints, etc. Very talented person doing these. He has a new update referencing future updates next month.

Check his archives also, MANY more animations there.

Thank you!! There aren't very many roller coasters that I'll ride because they LOOK scarey...I LOVE to ride RnR so I have always wondered what it looks like so I can compare it to the ones I have been chicken to ride! :lmao:
