Expedition Everest in 2006

So I'm up last night at 2am thinking about planning a trip in 2006, cuz we've been the past two Octobers and we're not going this year AND IT'S KILLING ME!

2005 won't work for us, and the kids are getting up in age to where I don't feel really comfortable taking them out of school (and the next trip I want to last about 10 days, also), so I'm thinking a July trip may be the way to go. With the late nights, possible E-Nights, and a longer stay, we should be able to manage the crowds.

So, after all that, my question is if anyone has any info about EE? I know it's expected to open in 2006, but is that February or November? The pics at wdwmagic.com look like its coming along nicely, but it may take a while to get such an advanced coaster up and running. Granted, this isn't a deal-breaker if it isn't ready, but I'm wanting to make this a BIG trip and it would be icing on the cake.

Hopefully I'll get more sleep tonight. It's gonna be a LONG twenty months!!

Okay, for those interested, I've found a little bit more info. Google is a wonderful thing.

I'll try to post these links, but if it doesn't work, they basically say the official opening is in 2006, with a soft opening in late 2005. So we should be good to go in summer of '06!

I just want to say, I feel your pain! After our Thanksgiving trip this year, we are taking a year off. No 2005 trip for us.

Thanks for the post, I had forgotten about Everest, and it would stink for me to book our 2006 trip before it opened.

According to those articles it's saying late 2005. I think disney is saying 2006 just to have a safety factor.

I hated missing a year. We didn't/won't be going for 2004 and it sucks. We will be going in Jan 2005 though. After that it's anybody's guess now that DS will be in Kindergarden.
