Expedition Everest - how is it?

Please excuse me if this has been discussed a lot recently, but I haven't been able to check the boards much lately.

How is the ride? Is it open yet?

We rode it in Feb. during soft openining its open now. Its a great ride only diappointment is we only rode it once.

Yes EE is open. I also rode it during a soft opening. It's a very fun ride! You go forwards and backwards. The backwards part can be a little intense, but definitely managable. There's only one big drop, which you can see coming out of the mountain. The yeti, which you get to meet is VERY realistic and amazing!

It's a great ride. It has the smoothness of RnRC, but it would be more accurate to compare it to BTMR, only with more speed.

We just got back today. My family rode EE about 6 times. It was amazing. The best ride in Disney parks as far as I'm concerned!

It's a great ride! And I want to add that my stomach never does the flip-flop it does even on Splash on the "big" drop on Everest. I rode it several times before I walked over to the place where you can watch the train coming down off Everest, and I think that vantage makes it look a lot scarier than it really is. Again it's wonderful!
