Congratulations! When I began I had to get one as well... except it was because of Carolina summer scorchers and not snow! I highly recommend hooking up a tv in front of it if at all possible!

Changed my mind.... Monday QS... Pizza Planet. We have never eaten here before, but I figure we could catch an early or late lunch here {aka avoid the huge lunch crowd} and cool off for a bit since we will have a long day here with no opportunity to head back to the hotel since we will have checked out all ready. I've heard mixed reviews, but it sounds like a good option for cooling off... and I am all about trying some place new.
As of today I am down 18 pounds! I ran my two miles, fighting the tail end of this cold... at 32:20. Getting there... slowly but surely. I am trying to push myself but not overdo it. I used to get shin splints in high school and I don't want to go that road again.

I still only have made it to 1.5 miles as I get back in the saddle. I added some weight training in my regime for strength..only I'm a complete weight training novice..and well- let's just say- I can barely move now. 'Doh.
Okay.... quick update! I haven't lost any more weight... still at 18lbs. Going to add my third mile on this week.... a little nervous that I won't be able to do it. I'm either going to be dead last.... or dead first! ha ha ha!! I will be back to post some photos and such soon!

I'm right at the same place. I added my '3rd' mile Friday. And by 3rd mile it means I made it exactly to mile 3. I didn't RUN mile 3 to mile 4.
I have so far to go to get to 13.1!!! I also have not lost any weight but that may be due to the copious amounts of Girl Scout Cookies I have consumed!

Ha ha!! Girl Scout Cookies are not helpful!! I hid two boxes in my house.
Mile by mile... that's what I keep telling myself. It went well though! I was shocked!!!! I need to shave off about 30 seconds from each mile, but I have 6 weeks to do so. I can't believe I made it through it to be honest. Self doubt is a very powerful thing. :/
So I finally went outside.... and got my 5k Road Miles under my feet! I was able to do the 3 miles in 45 minutes!!! 15 minutes a mile and I only ran 1/3 of it. It was cold and raining, so I was having a hard time getting used to the breathing... seemed harder on my lungs with the cold air. BUT I DID IT!!!! I feel comfortable that in the next few weeks I can shave off a little more... not much, but a little or at least build up my running stamina. Yay!!! NO GOLF CART FOR ME!
I'm in. It sounds like you're off to a great start with that pace. I'm doing the same thing, training for a Disney race, although which race is yet to be determined by the kids' schedules and our budget, but I'm no where near a 15min mile for 3 consecutive miles just yet!
Thought I would share a picture of my boys and I at Star Wars Weekend last year.
We are getting close to crunch time... We will be leaving in just 2 short weeks from today!!! So much to get done still... a lot of miles left to be run too! Putting in the time now will only make the race that much easier when the time comes. (I hope!)
I've been continuing to run on the road... VERY different then running on the treadmill. It's finally warming up around here (although there was hail everywhere today... sigh) I'm losing weight very slowly, but I want it that way. I've done a lot of fad diets where I lose the weight but then gain it back. So far this is working, so I'm going to stick to it.
Bought some new clothes with polka dots on them! Can't wait to use them!!! {Although.... I'm all ready sad about coming home.... isn't that pathetic!?!?!}
Getting very excited. Went out and ran a practice run with my friend who is running with me. DH and our other two friends will be way ahead of us, so I'm glad I have some one to run with me. We went about 43 minutes but we could have pushed more... but we were too busy talking. ha ha.
Down about 24 lbs.
Really looking forward to the water parks the more that I look in to them... swimming with sharks!?!?! How cool is that!? Trying to get those two days in some type of order... don't want to overdo my legs and body that day, but also don't want to lose a day, since we are only there for 4 days.
Anyone been to the water parks and have some tips?
You are doing Great! My DH and I are also doing the Everest 5k. I've been training to reduce my time and of course to lose weight. It's good to see someone else using Disney as their inspiration!
Two weeks from TODAY. I was planning to run today but the weather is cold and icky. I just couldn't get motivated to get on the treadmill. Tomorrow, MUST get at least 3.1 miles in.
