Just happen to be checking for someone else for the dates of February 17-21 on expedia and ASMusic suites are coming up for $140 per night. Sounds like a great deal especially since it's President's week.

I justlooked at this and see it's the same rate for June. But if you look closer you will see that they obviously switched the preferred room rate with the family suite rate. I don't think this rate of $140 night would be honored because it is clearly a mistake. I guess you never know! :scratchin

I noticed that someone else posted about a week ago with the same resort room and rates. I think if it is a mistake it would have been corrected by now.

Something is wrong on that site. I looked for one night, June 20. It gave me a standard room for $125, a family suite for $140, and a preferred room for...................$285!

I think they got the preferred room and family suite switched around.

This is not the first time it has happened. Other people have booked and traveled and it seems to work fine. Maybe it is a way for them to fill rooms that are not selling at the higher prices.:confused3 I honestly have no idea if it is a mistake or made to look like a mistake but I know for certain that this has happened before back in November.

Thanks OP!

We always stay here over DD's spring break in early April (4/3 - 4/7). Rack rate for our days is close to $2400, but we paid $700 on Expedia. I was holding out for an AP or FL resident discount, but even if one comes out (and it works for the weekend days) this is still a better discount.

We usually get 2 regular rooms due to cost, so this will be our first time in one of the suites!:cool1:

They took my $ and sent me a confirmation...so it should be good to go.

I was also skeptical but a few of us booked back in November and one person has traveled and it worked without problems and someone else is traveling this week. I booked and then someone said it was a mistake but like you they took my money and I got a confirmation. I think it is some sort of marketing ploy or something so that they don't keep the sale too long. It is also listed this way on Hotels.com.

I wonder if Expedia bought a big block of the suites and they are just not selling very well.

When we went last year for spring break they were very happy to offer us a free upgrade to a family suite. We had booked 2 rooms because my mother was tagging along. We declined the upgrade because DH had broken his ankle and needed a shower without the tub part. They were practically begging us to take the suite, I even had to explain about DH before they would give up.

If you book through expedia, can you still use DME to get to and from the airport??
Thanks!

From what I was told and read, yes, you can still book ME if you book through Expedia. If I remember correctly it says how to do it with the confirmation e-mail.

Yes. There was an option for ME as you complete your booking with Expedia. I had to "unchoose" it, we are driving.

THANK YOU!!!
I just booked the suite for 4/4 the first day of our trip for $150+ per night, then we go to CSR for the week with 2 rooms. I was thinking of going offsite for this night because we will be driving in, and expect to get there kind of late. Disney's regular rates for this time are very high, but this is a great deal. When I made the reservation they did give an option for the ME but we are driving and don't need it. Thanks again.

Thank you to the op!! I actually got the family suite for $120 a night Nov. 15-21!!! Although I'm sad I can't get DDP with it, I was happy that we can still use DME!
Thanks again!!

Your welcome!! Wow $120 a night is a great deal. Glad I posted. I'm always happy when people get a good Disney deal.

I needed a one night stay before our package begins in March and when I priced on expedia it came up as 150, I called WDW CR and they told me that if I had continued the booking, the price would have gone up because it was impossible for them to sell the Fam Suites at that rate. I may check again!

It sounds like a few people have followed through all the way with booking and got the deals.

I followed through with the booking and I got a confirmation that lists the family suite for $120 a night! Hopefully it pans out, it charged my CC, so it better be right!

Thanks so much for posting this, my mom has twin 17yr old foster daughters right now, and wanted to take them to Disney, but was worried about the cost because they wanted some privacy for themselves and the girls, since they are older, and thought she'd have to stay offsite or get a villa, so this will help her a TON!!! And her dates are open for the same price!

So you cannot add dining to this, even though you can add Magical Express? Does anyone know for sure?

Also, I was looking closer on the rooms and noticed Expedia is listing (2) types of Family Suites. The $140 rate is for a Family Suite which it describes as (1) Queen bed, a double sleeper sofa, (2) single sleeper chairs with ottomans, a kitchenette, 2 bathrooms. The other Family Suite with a rate of $243 is described as (2) Queen beds, a table and chairs, a kitchenette, and 2 bathrooms.

Could this be right? A family suite with only one bed in the bedroom, and all other beds are pull outs in the living area? My kids might like it... I don't know. I thought ALL family suites were the same?

We have been watching for any way to afford the family suites this year and this sounds so exciting! The problem is, I can't seem to figure out how to get any availability for family suites on expedia no matter what dates I try! What am I doing wrong? :confused3
Please, someone help this expedia impaired mama :wave2: before this too-good-to-be-true-offer is gone!
