Any tips? Can we stay till after the crowd dies down? Last time it was a bad experience so I am afraid to stay after fireworks this year being stuck in the crowd, any tips on where to go for less people and good viewing? I was considering the dessert party but not sure we want to pay that much for dessert

You can wait for the crowds to thin out. Either just sit on a bench or check out the stores.

We were still in park a good 45 minutes after closing in June. No rushing; no pushing..CM still friendly. Caught the ferry and the parking lot was easy to exit. We were not the only ones who took the time.

I like to watch from Fantasyland near Gastons. Low crowds and then when you're done you can hit up Under the Sea or even Storybook Circus as crowds die down.

Also, Main Street USA and shops stay open an hour after official park close if you really want to wait for low crowds.

Take your time.:)

It will be at least 90 minutes before the Park clears out.:)

I like to "linger" and watch the Kiss Goodnight.:)

At times I have watched Wishes from the second floor of the train station and then a quick down the steps and one of the first out. View can be slightly obstructed, but great for a quick exit.

Yes! Find a snack, a shop, a bench, anywhere and just wait. Even 30 minutes will make a huge difference.

However . . . I found this not to work so well on a 2-parade evening in MK. August last year we were in the hub at the MSEP FP area. Waited on rain delay, watched parade #1, watched castle show and then Wishes. We tried to just stand to the side and wait before leaving, but the hub is a difficult place to do this since it is a crossroads. As we waited I realized that most people were hunkering down for parade #2. It made waiting and navigating a bit more challenging. On a night with 2 parades I would try to watch fireworks from Town Square in the future. In fact, Town Square is a great place anytime you want to duck out ahead of crowds or have options for stepping out of the chaos.

Does parade #2 always travel in a certain direction? I would think it makes more sense for it to start in Town Square and proceed up Main Street which would leave the exit more accessible sooner.

That's exactly what happens.

The Main Street Electrical Parade starts in Town Square always, not just the second showing.

I always sit back and the crowd die down. Trying to get on the bus right away is a mad house. Plus I like to people watch:)
