Exiting Game When Losing -.::Rant::.-

This has been bugging me for awhile, but now it's just getting out of hand. I am seeing more and more players exiting the game when they see that they are losing or going to lose. In the Haunted Mansion Game you still get credits if someone exits the game, but it makes me angry that they won't atleast try to finish the game. Why can't players just stay in the game and get the credits! When you leave you get NOTHING.

I say VMK should take out the "EXIT" button in the Games.

I can understand doing it by accident, it happens to me sometimes while I click around and hit the Back or Refresh Button. But there are players out there that Exit on purpose.

I can agree to that Charging for Haunted Mansion, if not that, then atleast make it where the side have to be even. That was another thing. Players have been Yelling at other players for them to have two on one.

yes i always do that - i go to type but am not in the box and end up exiting accidentally!! argh!!! drives me insane!! the other day i did it twice in a row i felt like banging my head agains tthe desk lol soooo annoying lol

I would really not like it if VMK took out the exit button. I will usually exit at the beginning of a game if a person starts with uneven (to their advantage) teams, or if I joined with my brother and they boot and start without him.

That said, I do really hate when people exit the game just because they're losing. I think VMK should charge to play like in Pirates.

Since I'm trying to increase my credits with ghosts today, I've been playing non-stop since I signed into VMK. But like fantasymooma, I am getting tired of people exiting out of the game! I realize that sometimes VMK crashes and so it only appears to be exiting (I crashed once while playing ... I was upset to lose my own credits!) but you can kind of tell when people exit. It's so frustrating!

Sometimes I don't get any credits at all because I'm the only one left in the game! Does it make a difference if people exit or crash? Because sometimes I still get credits for my ghosts and sometimes I don't get anything at all.

Out of all days, I thought people would just stay in the game today! Credits people, credits! Haha. I'm a little obsessed, if you can tell ...

I didn't even think about people exiting on purpose, but out of 6 games today I only got credits for the first one. Second game, really good game and the team I was on won....it showed purple team won and was going to put out back out in the lobby and it crashed, came back on and no credit for that game. Tried to play 4 more times, crashed twice and the two other times assumed the other person crashed. It gets very frustrating!!

I agree with you Fantasymooma about charging to play, I think that would help out alot with people abandoning games when they are losing.

Crashed again. I feel myself commenting how good the game is in order to encourage the person to stay.

I'm sure people believe I've left though. I've crashed three times.

And I didn't get any points for at least 3 games. It goes to Lobby, then nothing.

Going to go back on after dinner. I usually don't go on at night. Will it be even busier?

Trust me, better Haunted Mansion than Halo 2.

If you're in a Big Team Battle, and folks start leaving your team en masse: you're looking at 1 or 2 against 8. Nooot fun. And that lasts for several minutes, while HM just lasts one or two.

But yeah, I know the feeling. People should just stick with the cards they're dealt and not whine about it.

If i ever exit the game is when its those REALLY long battles when its down to 2 ppl or i crash..but that isnt really quiting the game, and i think VMK should remove the exit button bc its not fair if they end up leaving and then you have no one -.-

Wow almost everyone is Crashing. I haven't Crashed at all today. Knock on wood.

But like someone said before. You can tell when someone Crashed or Quits. When the person is doing good and has Exited the game you know it's a Crash. But when the person is not doing so good and has Exited the game you know they did it on purpose.

Just crashed AGAIN! Got one game in, and she quit.....I see what you mean now by it is obvious when they quit and not that they crashed. She left the game because she was losing, and it wasn't by much either. But it let me finish the section and then it said no winner because other person left the game, but it did give me my credits for the ghosts I had caught! I was glad for that. But all this crashing is driving me crazy, can't get many points this way.

Well I dont play Haunt Mansion as much as I used to but people do quit when they are losing in Pirates or when someone hits their ship or think ppl are "cheating" because they used to the gold cannon and it just makes me so mad!! *calms down after drinking coffee* LOL

If anyone is referring to me once yesterday, I crashed and actually my VMK Pal shut down my entire computer. So I'm sorry If I caused anyone any credits. I'll make up for it in pirates

I'm sorry too, because I continued to crash again and again. Each time I thought YAY I'm going to make it to the end, nope! I felt bad too, I was playing with some really nice people many of those times. I finally gave up so I wouldn't waste other people's time in the games. I think I completed 3 games total after trying many times. Guess I won't bother with the double credit days again.

I am glad the exit button is there. When I see people being ugly calling people loser, telling people they stink at the game, etc, I refuse to play with them. I will exit the game because it is just a game and not life or death.

Agreed. If there was no exit button then you wouldn't have to wonder about this...

If you desperately needed to exit for some reason, you could just "sit" and let the game dc you. I hate the exit button because too many people use it to keep me from winning the game. I don't care about the 40 credits for winning, or getting on the best list, but it's darn near impossible to collect many ghosts if someone exits at the beginning of round 2. Suck it up and play, get your credits that will be better than NOTHING that you get from exiting, and make the game nice for both of us. End of my rant...

I would be completely upset if they started charging to play HM.

Look at how many times some of you have crashed while in the game.

How many credits would you have lost if you'd had to pay to play?

They can not start charging to play until people are no longer crashing on a regular basis.

The only real improvements that they need to make to the game is to make it more stable.

Even the uneven thing doesn't bother me as long as I know the person is playing for a quest and needs a loarge amount of ghosts. For some, playing against more people is the only way to get thru these quests. But if they are playing uneven teams just to get more credits, then many times I will quit.
