I'd like to get an Exercise DVD that isn't too complicated and can be done without too many props. I'd also like to have something my 9yo DD could do with me. What are your recommendations??

I like the WATP too. It's not complicated and low-impact, but it's still a good workout that burns those calories.

I would recommend WATP's (Walk Away the Pounds by Leslie Sansone) if you want something that has no props and your DD9 can do.

They are great for beginners and children. No equipment (a few do have balls, or ab stretchy things). But some of them are just the DVD's. They come in 1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile and 4 mile.
They are low impact too.

I did find that once I got more fit, that they didn't do enough to make me sweat or get a really good workout in. I didn't see results till I sarted doing the FIRM. The FIRM is not good for kids and unfortunately has TONS of props, lol!!

Good luck!

Yep, I agree with Melanie.

I also love my Winsor Pilates that I use for strengthening my "core" muscles (abs area). This can be done at different ability level and provide a great foundation to accompany any aerobic as already listed.

Good luck and have fun.

I LOVE my WATP DVD!!!! It is a great workout without being hard or hard on the back, knees, etc.

The instructional and beginning Tae Bo DVDs are good. Some kids love doing them.
