I'd love to work on core strengthening with a balance ball but I have no idea what size to buy. How do you know the size? Does it go by your height? or your weight?
Does anyone use one?
Do you love it?

It goes by your height. I pasted a chart below. I got one for my b-day last november and like it alot. I use it a couple times a week, but should use it more.

Age 5 years to 4'8" 45 cm (17 in.)
4'8" to 5'3" 55 cm (21 in.)
5'3" to 6'0" 65 cm (25 in.)
6'0" to 6'7" 75 cm (29 in.)

Thank you so much, Scott. Now, I'll just hope Target has the 21" one. Do I need a bicycle pump to pump it up? I am assuming there are directions in the box to prevent me from over-filling it, right?
Aren't you sorry you offered assistance? ;)

Yes, you need a bicycle pump or a ball pump. There were instructions for inflating it. I remember it taking a long time as I had a little basketball pump.

Ask away! Always glad to help.:thumbsup2

Thank you so much!! :goodvibes:
What a fun way to work on core strengthening while reading a book! ;)

I just got one and I love it to pieces. In fact, the whole family argues about who sits on it where and for how long! I personally like bouncing on it, but that's just me! :) I also do crunches on it. Mine was on sale at Walmart for $10!

Best of luck!

I've been using mine for about a month now. I love it. I'm sitting on it right now actually. I also use a video with it twice a week. Hopefully I'll soon find time to get a third day. If you have an electric air pump that would probably be your best bet for the first inflation. Or as my video said use a gas station air pump. It took forever to get it inflated with the handpump that came with the ball. But inflated it is. Hope you find a ball you like.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone! I found one at target last night for $29.99 that came with a video and a hand pump. I sat on it while I watched tv for about 90 minutes and will do the video (or parts of it) tonight. I'll let you know how it goes!

So, after a month have you noticed a difference? I carry my weight in my tummy, and I know that is the worst place, health wise, to carry it. Even when I was thin, I had no defined waist. I'm wanting to really concentrate on this area, and I'd love to hear your thoughts on this ball.

I have noticed a difference since I've been using the ball. I've only lost a few lbs total. But I can feel the difference in my abs during my work day and my balance has really improved even though it wasn't bad b4. I'm often on ladders at work and i feel a lot more stable than i did a month ago on them. I have quite a bit of belly fat to work off myself and this ball was a great decision for me.
