Exercise at Disney Resorts?

I'm not sure if this is the place to post this or not...we currently have a reservation at Pop Century. From what I can see they don't offer any exercise facilities. Does anyone know what my options are here, other than running outside? Are there exercise facilities I'd have access to? Thanks. Even while on vacation I need to get some exercise in...

your on vacation there is no exercising on vacation :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I knew someone would call me out on that...ha.

For the amount of time we're going to be gone though it really is important to me, to get some form of exercise in, a few days we're there.

DH and I work out pretty much every day, even at WDW. None of the value resorts have exercise facilities unfortunately. Coronado Springs is the only mod with a gym, and then the deluxes have them. When we stayed at AoA, we just ran around the lake and the resort as well as Pop. Sometimes we would stop every 1/2 mile to do some push-ups, burpees, or other upper body exercise.

What kind of exercise are you looking for? Weights? Cardio?

It's very important to my DH to work out on vacation as well. He's done the running around outside, but it can be hard on his knees, not to mention potentially dangerous with cars when near the street. For that reason, as well as the larger bed size (compared to Value resorts), we are staying at Coronado Springs this next trip. As a previous poster mentioned, it is the only moderate with a fitness room/center.

Grand Floridian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and Yacht and Beach have fitness centers. There may be other deluxe hotels that do. Coronado Springs (mod) has one.

I'd check out travel workouts online. There's a lot you can do with just your body weight. Bring resistance bands.

just walk around Epcot a few times lol that's a lot of walking

but no value resorts have gyms I think only the deluxe resorts really have exercise areas

I figure even though it's not ideal i can get cardio through running (I have horrible allergies so I usually do machines inside to avoid the outdoors!)

I'd like to get some weights in as well if I can.

If it comes down to it, I can just do some body-weight exercised in our room

Great suggestion - thanks! I'm so used to doing classes at the gym, I'll check out some travel workouts

The Dolphin also has a fitness centre. It is a deluxe that can be close in price to a moderate, if you qualify for one of their many deep discounts. Otherwise, there is CSR (moderate) and the other Disney deluxe resorts.
