Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

I don't like eating outside. So I can totally understand!

As for driving to DTD, it's a very easy drive. Parking sometimes is not so easy. There have been times when dh has dropped us off to shop and drove around the whole time searching for a spot. It's rare, but it has happened to us around Christmas.

I usually don't mind too much if it's not hot but it was hot that day. Oh, yeah, we've done the whole driving around the DTD parking lot looking for a parking space. :guilty:

My first post on this forum!! Lisa, I read another trip report of yours on another forum (I think your trip from 2010 when you brought your mama!) and I loved it so I'm super excited to read this one!!!

Welcome to the Disboards and to my trip report! I think that you're going to find that the Dis people are super friendly and we like to chat a whole whole lot. Please feel free to post comments!

Oh, no! I'm so sorry about your toe! Breaking a toe stinks (or is that just feet:confused3) because it hurts so bad and there's not really anything that you can do to make it better. I hope it heals quickly for you.

So sorry about your neighbor. When you've known someone for that long, it's kind of hard to imagine them not being around. You sound just like my husband about the funeral! I guess I haven't given it much thought--I won't be here, you know?--but I really agree with your sentiment!

YUMMY squash! I can't wait until my FiL's garden starts producing well!

Take your time updating; you've got a lot going on! But we do miss you!

I'm also sorry about your broken toe and your neighbor :sad1: Hope things will get better for you.

It looks like you had such a nice 1st evening!

I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbor.

I'm also sorry to hear about your toe I know what a broken toe feels like:sad2: I hurt my foot the first day of vacation this year and it HURT A LOT THE ENTIRE VACATION and as soon as we got home the pain went away:mad:

I didn't plant anything in my garden this summer I was to depressed I'm just keeping up with all my flowers that come up every year. We did "borrow" a seed pod from a really neat tree in Animal Kingdom and I'm going to put it in a big pot and see if anything happens. I would love to have a Disney tree.

I'm joining in! I'm so sorry you broke your toe! Ouch! :headache: I just got all caught up and I'm lovin' your trip report so far. We had a two window room once and it was awesome! How cool that you just happened to stumble upon the movie that they were going to show.

Sorry about the broken toe---At least it's flip-flop weather! ;)

Lisa, I'm glad I've not missed an update, but I am so sorry to hear about your neighbor and your toe. Hope it is feeling better soon.

Sending hugs your way! :grouphug: I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your neighbor and friend.

I can only imagine what a pain (literally and figuratively) your broken toe is. I haven't broken a toe, but my husband has broken 4 since we have been married! Seriously!

I really enjoyed your updates about CBR. So very descriptive and informative. Your love for the resort shines through all of your posts.

The sandwiches from the food court looked really yummy!

I've broken toes before too. They do not feel good. Thats probably why I have such messed up feet. I used to break them quite a bit in my younger days.

Wow, a broken toe? It seems like it's never a dull moment in your house.;) Good for you that you are gardening and such while the toe is aching. I would tell my family that nothing was getting done and prop my foot up! But it also sounds that you are so much more ambitious and motivated than me.:sad2:

Again, sorry about your neighbor and I hope you're feeling better soon.

You have had a tough couple of weeks! So sorry to hear about your neighbor. Also sorry to hear about your toe! Broken toes are the worst since they can't do much for it. When I was 10 I ran into a chair and broke my toe, then a few days later my sister locked my hand in the sliding mini van door......all while we were on vacation! Not a good week for me lol.

So sorry about your toe and your neighbor. I hope this week will be better for you.

Lisa--I'm sorry for the loss of your neighbor and friend.

I can only imagine how much trouble that broken toe is for you since you always seem to be busy in the garden and around the house--not to mention at your job! I hope it heals quickly.

I will let you know when (or if) but hopefully when I start my TR. I'm having such a hard time finishing this last one--but I'm hoping it's just because I was so unorganized with the pictures!

I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbor.

Oh no! A broken toe!:sad2: Hope you're feeling better soon!!:goodvibes

I'm sorry things have been so crazy!!! Hope the toe is getting better.

You are so lucky that your garden is producing already. It's times like this (and in winter when the cold gets to me) that I wonder WHY I am still living here?!:confused3 My garden is FAAAAAR from giving me ANYTHING!! lol. I just got it in a few weeks ago. LOL. Oh well. It's warm out right now so I'll just enjoy it for what it is. haha

Looking forward to your next installment. I'm lucky if I get up one a week these days!!!

Thanks to each and every one of you for the kind words! The toe is finally starting to heal. Every once in a while, I'll step on it wrong and the pain will start again but it's getting better.

John and I were talking about our neighbor just the other day. He was a milkman for years and years and years so he was always very cheerful. It was so sad to see him suffer from Alzheimer's. The last year was just awful for his family so I am sure that they are feeling both sorrow and relief.

Joining in!!! your title of the thread has me VERY interested!

So sorry to hear about your toe and your neighbor. Seems like things always happen all at once!

Welcome! If I can ever get my darn boss to stop giving me things to do, I'll get around to how the title of the report came about. I don't know why bosses think they need us to work for the paycheck? :confused3

Things really do seem to happen at once!

I think that I replied to all of the posts. I am working on billing right now and hope to get it over and done with by the end of tomorrow. My boss has court out of town Thursday morning so I'm thinking I'll get an installment written then.

We haven't tried EoS yet but got to WPE finally on our last trip. We had the same thought as you, "why haven't we tried this yet?":confused3 It was by far the best CS meal of our trip. We will be returning there, but maybe not until we try EoS first.

Can't wait for the next installment!:goodvibes

We'll have to go to Downtown Disney on the night we arrive to redeem our PhotoPass+ voucher, so my husband was thinking we'd either eat at EoS or WPE. I'm leaning toward WPE...he just doesn't know it yet :rotfl:

Looking forward to the next part :)

Loving the updates as usual!

We love Wolfgang Puck Express, I always get that salad and its so good. Your picture made me drool.:rotfl:

The DTD busses from all the resorts do indeed suck!

Sorry to butt in with a non-TR question, but you have so many experts on your page, I am hoping someone here can answer:

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between the MNSSHP on non-Halloween days and the one held on the actual day of Halloween? I am trying to convince a friend not to limit herself to going on Halloween day because of the crowd levels, but she is convinced it is different and worth braving the crowds. Since this is her very first trip to Disney, I think she should go in early Oct. when the crowds are lighter and she is can see/do more. Thanks for letting me go off topic and thanks in advance!

Glad to hear the foot is getting better! Sometimes my knee decides to flare up (blaming the weather), so I know how you feel.

I did not know it was Alzheimer's. I have been living with it for 21 years now. It is such a tough disease for the family to watch. Breaks my heart when I hear others are dealing with it. As awful as it sounds we are just waiting for my grandma to die so her body can be reunited with her soul, she last recognized anyone in 2004 :( I can't wait until I am cleared to run the Boston Marathon with the Alzheimer's Association. They are saving me a number for when I am ready!

Isn't it amazing when you go so often and then try something new and realize you have been missing out on something! It is cool that there are new experiences around every corner at WDW! :goodvibes

I saw you commented about once you realized the ease of letting Disney doing the driving you all never drove again....I am right there with you!! I would rather deal with the few inconvenient issues we have had than having to worry about doing it all myself! I get enough of the driving scene in my real life!! One time and I was hooked!!

Sorry to hear about your toe and your neighbor.

I ate at WPE for the first time this summer and it was really good. I wanted to go back for a second visit, but never got a chance.

Great pics!

Love the TR so far!! You three remind me of my sister, my mother and myself. We always travel together and have the best time!!

How awesome is that, a corner room at CBR! I'd want a corner room if only to have the two windows! Bummer it was such a distance from OPR but hey, walking at the CBR is much better than walking anywhere at home, IMO!! :)

I've always wanted to try Wolfgang Puck! The bacon wrapped meatloaf looks so yummy!! I think you may have solidified a place for WP on our trip in the spring!! :)

Sounds like you guys had a great first day! Can't wait to read more!!!

I'm joining in. I've read some of your other TR and I loved them so thought I would jump on this one as well. You and I have a lot in common. I am also a Paralegal and work in an office with just one attorney and me. I think though, we are in different areas of law. From what I can tell, I think you work in Family Law? I work in civil litigation. I did two years of Family Law and decided I would never do that again. Also, my boss' name is Paul as well.

I am currently planning a trip for next February and we will be staying at CBR. It will be me, my sister, nephew, niece and my godson. We had planned on going this past March, but after I made the deposit, we found out my sister was pregnant and due around that time so we had to cancel. My neice was born on April 30th so she won't quite be one when we do go. My sister and I went to DisneyWorld back in 1986 with our parents, but have not been back since so it's pretty much new to us. Back then, all that was around was Magic Kingdom and Epcot. We did do both parks though. Also, at that time, we were staying at a KOA camp in Kissimmee so staying on property will be a new experience as well.

Also, my nephew (who is 5) told me he wants to go on a cruise. My sister won't go because she's afraid the boat will sink so I'm considering taking just my nephew on a Disney Cruise in October of 2013. I can't wait to hear about your cruise experience. The cruise would be a birthday present for him as his birthday is Oct. 26th.

Anyway, I can't wait to read more about your trip.

Welcome! If I can ever get my darn boss to stop giving me things to do, I'll get around to how the title of the report came about. I don't know why bosses think they need us to work for the paycheck? :confused3

Things really do seem to happen at once!

Just tell your boss that you need to be paid to work on EVERYTHING Disney! I think they will go for that! :rotfl:

Your pics of CBR are great! We are going in September-first time at CBR! I was wondering about the coffee pot in the rooms--DH is a BIG coffee drinker--are there plenty of coffee packets and what kind are they?

Enjoying the trip report, but I was wondering why you stopped putting the links to your updates in that post on the first page? It's a little difficult to try and find them all :confused3

I am so happy I didn't fall too fare behind.
I agree, that DTD buses are always slow...they seem to have their own set of rules.
WE have done EOS and love it, but have yet to make it over to WPE. Karin (Dizneeat) loves that place, and I need to fit it in somewhere sometime. I might have a chance this next trip. :thumbsup2
