Finally, I am ready to start this TR!!!!

Sorry it has taken me this long..but as you may already know, I got sick while I was away..well actually we all got sick...
But I am on the mend, I still can't hear on my left side, but who needs to hear while you're typing..right?

Flew Southwest from Buffalo to Orlando direct
Used DME
Paid OOP for food, got a Room only Pincode
Had a FANTASTIC vacay!!!

Just a quick thought on the plugged up left ear...
I had this massive virus, ended up plugging up both my ears--not from an infection in them but because of my sinuses! The doc had me taking decongestant, and constantly yawning (to try to pop my ears) and it worked in a week! My DH had the same thing about 2 months ago, and refused to take the medicine, and is just getting his full hearing back.

Okay, down to business! Day one is gonna be long so it will probably be broken up into segments..it was a looooongggg day!!

March 3rd! Disney day!! YAY!!!

Ferb and I woke up at 3:30 ..our flight was at 6:30 and we had about a 40 minute drive to the airport and Ferb is a little crazy about being late! It's okay, I let him have these moments and he lets me have all the rest So, we got ready and then got the girls up..I should have started with the night before and all the sleep aids we took!!! The girls took half of a dose of an anti nauseate called gravol and we took a whole dose...sweet dreams So when we got them up we actually were all pretty well rested considering We got them ready and took pics of taking off the last mickey head!

Ferb had gotten the car packed while I was getting the girls ready..it was touch and go with the fit, I guess I over packed a little But all was well and we got on the road right at 4:30 just as Ferb had hoped!
The ride was pretty uneventful except for the border guard we got..she was kinda cranky and when she asked where we were going I said really peppy-like "Disney! Wanna come?!" And total deadpan she said while rolling her eyes "No." That's it, just no? Debbie Downer!!!! HAHAHAHA!!! I called her more than that while we drove away !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got to the airport in record time and I dropped the crew off with the luggage and parked the car in the long term lot and rode the bus back to the terminal..we forgot to leave our coats in the car..okay, back to the car on another bus and thankfully he didn't leave me there while I put the coats away...he was cranky too!!! So back the terminal I go and we head through security..I love the airport in Buffalo...it's so small and getting through security is always a breeze!! No stupid questions, just simple and no secondary inspections so far!

We took a walk to the food court and Ferb got a breakfast sandwich thingy, I think it was a panzerotti? He shared with Rapunzel and the girls and I shared a strawberry smoothie..yum!
I could have sworn we took pics, or maybe that was the first moment we realized we were supposed to be taking pics of our food but we forgot?

We stopped off in the washroom (yep, we are canadian!!)..we still had lots of time before we boarded the plane..or did we? We come out and around the corner and see our gate and people are lined up and starting to board a plane!! Wait! That's our plane!!! CRAP!! Quick! Grab the bags, run girls!!! I quickly locate our boarding passes and we sneak into our spot in line just as it approached the girl with the scanner thingie...we gave huge thanks to folks behind us in line for helping us!! Okay, head back to the last row and we are golden!! We love this spot on the plane, the washroom is right there, the flight attendants are right there and we don't have some rugrat kicking our seats!! My rugrats have been well taught to respect the person in front of you..many have not!!!

Here we are soooo happy to be going back to our favorite place!!!

We had a great flight,took off a little early,had a really nice crew and one even tried to help us see some of WDW as we approached, but it was a little too overcast to see anything. Obligatory shot mid flight!

I thought this was cool as the plane banked to get ready for landing:

We landed and got off in record time considering we were in the back row! While we were taxing I kept looking for those palm trees to let me know I was really on vacation!!!! Saw a lot and life was good!

Took some time to use the facilities and then got on the fake monorail..sat the girls up front on the ledge and starting taking pics!!

Aaahhhh...vacation!!!

No comment!!

So we found our way through the airport to the DME area and waited to board our bus, we didn't get an official DME bus, but we didn't get one of those ugly yellow Mear's buses either, it had a wrap on it with Nemo and stuff on it? I thought at first that we were duped when we got on it, but once the welcome video started..life was good!! I even got this for the first time EVER!!!

We were finally here!!! I will stop here, I need to change some laundry and check on the girls...it's March Break here..need to see what homework we can do today to play catch up from our vacation!

I think that's what it's going to take. I know that this congestion started on the plane, I think the pressure may have made my sinuses fill up this badly..gonna try that decongestant idea and I do keep trying to yawn it open too..I hope it all works because this is very disconcerting! Oh and welcome to the TR!!!

When that funk arrives, that's the signal that it's time to start planning the next one, even if it's months or years away!

Hey sorry, I missed your first post...but !! Our flight was 2 hours and 40 minutes...ish, I would never do that drive..I wouldn't be able to walk afterwards with my back issues. But all the more power to you guys!

Yay!! Glad you enjoyed the border story..I have a whole book full of stories like that one! They really know how to push my buttons sometimes and I have to cross at least once a week because all my family is in the states!!!
