My sister will have her DD 2-1/2 (almost 3) along on our Eastern Caribbean Magic cruise. Sis would like to do some sort of excursion, but since her DD is not fully potty-trained, she cannot check her into the club. I hear Flounders is boring for that age group. I've looked at the excursions and looks like the Island tours and/or shopping is about the only alternative with a young child.

Any experience or suggestions regarding excursions or Flounders for a 2-1/2 year-old?

Hi!

We thought we would try the St. Martin Butterfly Farm tour, but are still not sure if we will do it on our own or with the group.

I am hoping that Flounders will work for DS for some of the time. He really loved it last time, but was only 12 months then. I've noticed that they do have some toddler toys and a palace to watch videos.

Any other thoughts?

WE just did the Eastern with 4 year old DD. We did the Butterfly excursion through Disney. I really enjoyed the tour of the island. I found it imforative. The Butterfly tour was interesting and I actually had a butterfly land on the top of my head. We weren't fast enough with the camera. In St. Thomas we did the Paradise tram thingy which was pretty from the top. I didn't take DD into town, but my parents did.

Try going on your own to Coral World. It is really nice for kids, you can also swim at Coki Beach afterward.
