My husband and I will be going on the 4 Night Very Merry Bahamian cruise in November.

We don’t plan to get off the ship in Nassau as we’ve been there a few times already but what excursions would you recommend for Castaway Cay?

We will be able to pick our excursions tomorrow night so I just wanted to see what everyone thought was worth it!

The only excursion my family has booked in advance at Castaway Cay is the Stingray Adventure, which my kids and husband enjoyed.

We have rented equipment (bicycles, Aqua Trikes, paddle boats) a few times once we were on the island.

I usually just hang out listening to music and sipping a beverage.

We usually rent snorkel gear and get a float tube but wait to get them on the island, you don’t need to book an excursion as they never run out.

I hear good things about parasailing but am too scared of heights to do it myself.

We really liked the Walking and Kayak adventure. The guide was very good. We have also done the Sandbar adventure which was fun and not too long. Got us off-island, beautiful views and back in time to snorkel etc.

Thank you for this. What did you like best about this excursion? We have it booked and my hubby is concerned about the hiking part in blistering heat.

In 25 visits to CC, I have only done the Stingrays, parasailing (twice), and the 5K a few times if you consider that an excursion. We enjoyed what we have done very much. Honestly though, I like to just relax on the beach, have a cocktail, and enjoy the view.

We loved the guide-he was just a great guy and fun to talk to, knew a lot about the island. It was warm, but more of a walk than a hike (I am from the northeast so when someone says hike, we think of mountains -LOL). Then it was on to the kayaks. Our excursion was pre-covid. At that time, about 1/2 way we were able to hop out of the kayaks and cool off. There was a large conch and starfish that got passed around. Our first time kayaking. We had fun!

We recently did this excursion and it was horrible. No real nature and hiking is just walking on pavement.

They kayaked so fast that we spent all the time trying to catch up and keep up. To me this is a do not do! Better and cheaper to rent your own kayaks and go around at your leisure.

Interesting review...thank you for chiming in, totally appreciated.

We did the stingrays when our kid was younger - it was fun. Next time, we are trying the banana boats - looks like basically getting pulled behind a boat on a large banana. It's the sort of thing we do here in Minnesota on various lakes and about the only thing I could get the grumpy 13-year-old to agree to do. 🤷‍♀️
