Excursion questions 7 night southern royal

Our family will have a traveling party of nine — five adults and four boys ages 13, 11 and 9. Will be on the wonder in July on the seventh night Caribbean cruise and I was just wondering if anybody had input on some of the excursions that were offered. We’re toying with the idea of doing the ship tour because both my husband and one of my children would like it. But then for Saint Kitts and St. Thomas some of the excursions offered seem to be like they’re just in a bus. You’re jumping off at a stop and taking a picture. Has anyone just done the historic forts and places like that not on an excursion? Would you recommend doing it on your own or just booking the excursion? In my head, I want to do the volcano hike, but in reality, I’m out of shape and have asthma and will be there in July so that one’s a no go.

Any advice is appreciated and this will be our first time going to perfect day, Saint Kitts and St. Thomas

Look into Thenford Grey tours in St Kitts, we really enjoyed it, especially the stop at Brimstone Fort.
