Excursion Question - First Cruise March 2017

Me, my husband and our 7 1/2 year old son are taking our first cruise to the Bahamas in March aboard the Dream and I have a question about excursions in the Bahamas. We are looking at the Dolphin excursion at Atlantis or the one at the Blue Lagoon. Has anyone done either of these? If yes, what were your thoughts? Is it worth the money? My son loves dolphins and so do I but the only excursion that is available at Atlantis is one with the water park added in and it's very pricey and I don't think we would get our moneys worth at the water park. Would love any advice or information if anyone has anything! Thanks!

Anytime we go to Nassau we always do the Shallow Water Interaction with Aquadventure. We think it's a great deal, not only do you get access to the waterpark, you can roam the entire resort and beach. Walking through the aquariums is one of my favorite parts. Lunch is also included with the excursion which is nice because food at Atlantis is extremely expensive.
