Has anyone done this? Says you go to a Beach Club, which one? Thanks for any info.

When my mum and dad went on this in Feb they went to Playa Mia - we had just done the beach break without the ruins first and we met up with them there just around lunch time.

Thank you. Did they enjoy the ruins? Taking my daughter without hubby so I feel safer on a Disney excursion with a group of people all going together.

Just do the beach break. We did the full tour once and the ruins were a waste of time. I would have much preferred to spend the day at Playa Mia.

My family (with 8 year old) did the tour with both ruins and beach break at Playa Mia and we all found the ruins to be the highlight of the tour. The beach was not much of a swimming beach (lots of seaweed last March) and the water slides were not in good working order (i.e., you had to push yourself down). I think it depends what you like. The ruins tour had interesting history. The ruins themselves weren't as spectacular as Tulum, but do a web search to see photos and then decide.

Thanks Sarah. I am trying to find a Disney Excursion for Cozumel as I take my daughters without dad. Any other suggestions?

My mum and dad enjoyed the ruins. We didn't go with them as we had our son, then 8, and he really loved the beach. We spent a long time on the floating obstacle course in the sea, took part in the kids piñata bash they laid on, had lunch, then spent some time in the pool and on the slides. I went down the slides fine, DS was a bit light but still enjoyed them. We had a great day.

I think the ruins in Cozumel are quite nice, just nothing like the pyramids you would see in other parts of Mexico. I like learning about history and culture on vacation, so it was good. It was the beach part of the tour that we were disappointed in, but others in this thread didn't seem to mind Playa Mia. However, on a completely different note, I'm heading on another Disney cruise soon with a stop in Cozumel and we're going to try Passion Island by Twister.

Other times I've been to the Mayan Riviera (not on a cruise), I've enjoyed Tulum (which has a very pretty beach to boot) and also Xel Ha would be a lot of fun. I think Disney does tours to both from Cozumel.
