Exciting Find at Target!

I was lucky enough to pick up one of these at my Target today for $32. I was there last week when I heard about them being $32. My store still had them for $64 though. I asked the manager when they would be marking them down again and he was kind enough to tell me "Monday, if there are any left even." Well, I went there early today and found one left on the shelf still marked $64. Even when I scanned it rang up $64. I found a girl re-setting the electronics area that was kind enough to check with her scanner if the item was going down in price. After she scanned it, she said it would be $32, and didn't need a new red sticker b/c it would scan the regular price at the register. There seems to be a major overhaul going on in the electronics area with lots of stuff going on markdown. I knew I'd end up spending a fortune if I stuck around so I picked up my $32 Mickey dvd player, a carrying case and a few accessories and went home.
There were also plenty of the pink and blue DVD players left for $49. They have a larger flip screen. THey were marked $99 on the red tag and the $49 was the price they would ring up at the register. I had her check the price on these too for me just in case.

HTH.
Jennifer. :cool1:

Went back to Target with high hopes, searched every dept. but still no luck.
*agh* I almost want to cry over this. *sigh*
Oh well, sometimes you find the deals, sometimes you don't.
They didn't even have any clearanced dvd players when I went, so bummed all around.

Does anyone know if they have these at either of the Pensacola Targets? Cause I might be able to take the hour and a half drive if they did.

I went today just for the heck of it-I already knew they didn't have any more disney ones. I checked the clearance, and they had a Kawasaki for 49. with a 3.5 inch screen that included the car cord, adapter, tv connectors, and headphones. I know it wasn't 32, and it wasn't disney, but I made the sacrifice :rotfl2: and bought this one. I really needed a regular dvd player, not a portable, but I guess this one will serve both purposes (we only have a regular dvd player in the living room) and I can take it to my bedroom, basement, or traveling. The battery is only supposed to last 2 hrs, though.

Yep Frannn...

The battery on the Disney is very small too, only 2.5 hrs but in our experience last night it lasted even shorter than that which would make it hard on long trips unless you had a car adaptor but on a plane you are SOL...I doubt I am going to wanna recharge in Ohare!! :rotfl2:

At my Target today and there is a TON of clearance!

Exciting find was the colour preschool Video Now (personal Disc players for kids) for $35.! I thought that was a great deal!

And lightbulbs were 8 for 36 cents!

I bought the same one today. Blue one for $49.

There were two Target stores last week with the Mickey ones, but they were still $64. DH actually said it wasn't worth it even for $32! Well, not that I ever listen to him, but I wasn't about to pay $64.

The nice thing about the one I got is that you can plug it into the TV and watch the DVD's through the regular TV screen. NOW I have to casually check the TV in DS's room to see if it has the place to plug in the DVD player. If it does and DS can watch DVD's in his room then it was worth $50. If his TV doesn't have the plugs I will take the DVD player back because we don't travel that much! I was a little bummed about the 2 hour battery thing, too. Target had extra batteries but the darn things were $35!

Because of all the inside scoops on this board ;) I kept my Disney player that I paid $64 for last week, in it's original pkg with my receipt. I went to several Targets but with no luck. After hearing on Sunday and Monday that several people were finding them for $32 I thought, "ah ha!" now is the time. :teeth:

 Well yesterday afternoon they were all gone! There was a 7 in Eddie Bauer for 75% off (about $80) so I knew that the Disney one was probably also clearanced out. I pulled mine from my sack and scanned it on one of those scanners in the store. IT WAS $32!!! :rolleyes1

I took it to the customer service and just honestly told her I bought it last week and it has since gone on sale. (they had told me last week that they can't price adjust on a clearance item :guilty: ) BUT I asked her if I could just return it (with my receipt) and repurchase it. She looked left......She looked right......She smiled and said okay, but we aren't supposed to. :rolleyes1

Anywho, just like several previous posters said it is definitely worth the $32 and I felt like a lioness on the hunt! :rotfl2: We have another Target in this area that is newer and larger and I think i may check it out for more electronic clearance Christmas stuff! :teacher: Is this budget board really saving me money or am I being brainwashed???? :teeth:

I got one! I called one Target and was told, next week ....i.e. Don't bother me lady. I called another one very close to my house and they had one. Went there and it was even marked 32.48. Our thought was, small but durable enough for a 7 year old and cheaper than the Game Boy type toys. We charged it and the picture is great! I was actually surprised by the sound, picture and features. Definitely worth it!

I got the lightbulbs too! Our Preschool Video Now's were only $18.00, but I got the Mickey dvd player instead.

If anyone is interested, they can PM me and I will pay the $64 for the Mickey DVD player. I need another one and cannot find one. There was only one at my Target, and I guess all of you must have bought the others!! :earsboy:

I went to target on lunchbreak and the mickey TV's and DVD players were all full price. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on them. I may check out our other target tomorrow. I did get DS a few swimsuits for 2.24 and him and DN some t-shirts for 1.48 each!

for those that got the dvd player. . . .
does it say in any of it's inserts (if there are any) where you can get the car charger or what kind of car charger/adapter it takes? Just wondering, I've been keeping an eye on some of the ones on ebay (oh my gosh, expensive). . . . and if I got it we would def. need the car thing.

I thought mine came with a charger for the car, I got a pink one. I will have to look. I haven't opened it yet. It is still a splurge for the girls and I can't decide if I want to keep it or sell it.

We are off to go and check the two targets by us tonite when DH gets home from work!! let's hope!

We went to Target this week and were looking for the portable DVD players. They had the mickey cartoon ones for $64. What we did get was a red mickey 13" tv for $50 and a mickey DVD player for $35. For my son's birthday - great deal!!

For evryone who got this, there is a rebate for $20 back on your purchase of this item. i hope you all saved your boxes and receipts!! LOL!!
