I would have it filled with peanut butter Twix. If I could fill it with something other then candy, it would be Hostess raspberry Zingers :).

I had learned something new about you. I thought that you just had one son but just read that you had two :).

Oops...typo!! I only have one son.. I meant to put DNephew 6. :worship: But I do care for him as a son (he's my 1st & only nephew) ;)

My fav's are Fortune Cookies, and Bugles. Both I'm addicted to, and only buy when I've got a major craving. Have a great day!!

I have M&Ms in the candy bowl right now, but I fill it with the bite size Hershey's bars or kisses, too.

I used to always have a candy dish filled with jelly belly beans out on the island in the kitchen, but then all our friends started saying i was evil for doing so because they could not stop snacking on them lol! :rotfl: :rolleyes1

If I were to do so again, I would still pick jelly bellys or maybe skittles...

Don't have a particular "fall treat", but anytime of year "brownies" especially with ice cream.

I like pumpkin pie, but not homemade ones, the store bought ones with whipped cream :).

Where was the last restaurant you had eatten at, what did you have, and how much did it cost?

We had gone to eat Korean food yesterday, and my spicy pork was $9 something, and my husband's spicy pork and ribs costed $10 something. And a regular sized drink costed $1.90 :scared1: . It is not cheap to eat out anymore, especially if you have a big family. :sad2:

We ate at Applebys Friday night before the game. Our bill came to $37 and some change for the two of us. Joe ordered cheese sticks as an appetizer. He had a rib eye, baked potato and a salad. I had shrimp that came with fries and cole slaw. He had tea and I had water to drink.

We ate at IHOP last night. We had gone to a surprise birthday party. Our 27 year old niece gave a surprise 30th birthday party for her boyfriend. They asked each guest to chip in $12 to help with the meal. They had hor 'derves (sp?). Since her parents and and some of the friends brought food, the money was more to help pay for all the beer that they were drinking. Joe and I opted not to eat or drink anything (the party was an hour away and we didn't stay but about two hours), so we didn't "help" with the meal. Our cost for the meal at IHOP was right at the same as what we would have spent at the party and we got more food for our buck. Joe ate breakfast with coffee and I had a BLT with fries and a coke.

Funny you should ask! DH and I actually went out together by ourselves to a nice restaurant today, first time in months. We went to a local place, Spinnaker's. Including tip it was $37, we had flounder and their famous flowerpot bread. Made my week.:cool1:

Do you bake cookies, and other goodies for family, and friends for Christmas? If so, what are you planning on making this year, and what type of packaging will you be using?

My traditional baking is: shortbread, sugar cookies, welsh cakes, apple pie, and pumpkin pie (my favourite). If I'm really in the baking mood, I also make butter tarts, choc chip cookies, and ginger snaps. I also make up a home made gingerbread house for each of my boys, and let them have fun decorating it. Have a great day!!

I love to bake! I always bake sugar cookes, and gigner snaps. I like trying new recipes, so who knows what else this year?

Could you share your gingersnap recipe please :).

Of course!

Claudette's Ginger Snaps

3/4 c shortening (I use butter flavor Crisco)
1 c sugar
1/4 c light molasses
1 beaten egg
2 c flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ginger

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses adn egg, beat well. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Roll in balls, dip one side into sugar. Place 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350' for about 9 minutes (my oven at least!)
* Don't bake until cookies are flat--they fall when you take them out of the oven. They should still be a bit puffy when you take them out.

--

I know that all that Crisco sounds gross, but I"ve tried it with butter and they just didn't turn out as good.
