If you were to send out a photo Christmas card of yourself, or of yourself with your family or SO, what type of background or event would you pick for it?

DH and I will have a GREAT picture for next year!! We will take a picture of us in front of Cinderella's castle during the holidays while we are there this year!

I always do photo cards of the kids for Xmas cards. It's usually a pic from our fall trip to WDW, but as they're getting older they don't like to pose, and there's always one with eyes closed, etc.

And I love getting them from other people! It's so much fun to see pics our firiend's children, especially the ones we don't see often in person.

I have to share, cause DH wasn't excited by this! I got 2 packages from Disney today in the mail. We won the blue/white Year of a Million Dreams Mickey ears! Just in time for crazy hat day at school!

Our photo cards would probably be of our two cats asleep in front of the fireplace lol- they are way more photogenic than I am! And as long as they are asleep in that happy warm spot, they will let us "decorate" them with santa hats from BaBW and such lol

If there was a storm headed your way, would you have enough items to last you through the storm as well as a week after if your electricity, and such were out?
What items would you need to purchase, and what sort of things do you always keep on hand?

If you had just gone through a hurricane, were you prepared? What sort of items do you wish you stocked up on?

Nope, I would not be at all prepared lol...I am currently down to the last dregs of our monthly groceries
The storms we get are snow and tornados so I guess we would need bottled water, generator, flashlights, batteries, emergency weather radio maybe...the list could go on and on since we have none of those things right now lol!

Just got by Hurricane Ike and no we were not prepared. It has been over 25 years since a hurricane hit Houston; so we were thinking maybe the same thing will happen as it did with Rita, deviate at the last minute. We evacuated to Mexico where DParents are building their retirement home. On the way back to Houston we stopped at a Walmart by the border and bought lots of stuff since we would hear on the radio that the city had no lights. We were 8 days with no electricity; DFather was able to get a generator which we had the freezer & fridge on during the day & and nights we would put the fans on. I now have TONS of water stored and will be making a list of things that I currently don't have and will be needing. A radio (only had my mp3), batteries, OFF too many mosquitoes afterwards, flashlights, lanterns, gas tanks, burner,...many many other things.

One of my parent's neighbors was like...oh no biggie..it's like if we were camping.

Yeah, but.... I've never been camping and maybe it would've been fun under different circumstances. DS5 & DS6 sure did ask lots of questions about no electricity.
