Hello all! I've been sick with a nasty virus and haven't felt like doing much of anything until recently. I see that I have a number of questions of the day to catch up on. Let's see how I do.......
Love veggies and dip. I like most veggies with ranch dip though I did try hummus two years ago and liked it.
We have a plum tree in our back yard that yielded a bumper crop this spring. Our patio peach tree that we planted in the yard finally grew some edible peaches. We also have a white Thompson grape vine and a thornless blackberry bush. The birds usually feast on the grapes and the blackberries.
Eating other people's lunches in the workplace fridge? Never!
Yogurt is okay. I eat it occasionally but it's usually too creamy for me. My favorite flavors are strawberry and strawberry/banana. Frozen? Haven't tried it.
I did not have an imaginary friend growing up. I did find a lot of friends in all the books I read though. I used to pretend I was Spock's long lost sister when Star Trek was on.
A new Disney Treat? How about funnel cakes in the shape of Mickey ears? Or do they already have that?
When Fall comes, I begin thinking football and with that comes hot dogs (which I really don't eat so I don't know why I think of them) and nachos and all things fried because of the State Fair. They actually have a contest for the best new fried food. This year the most creative is Fried Butter and the most tasteful is Fried Peaches and Cream.
I'm not a heath nut but I am paying more attention to my diet. I do love salads and fruits and vegetables but do like my unhealthy food which I am eating in moderation now.
My tennis shoes are AVIA. I think that they are cross trainers. The ones I walk in daily (when I'm not sick) for exercise are the same.
I go through phases with bottled water. Our water gets pretty bad and tastes like dirt in July and August when the lake levels go down so I buy jugs of water then.
Love fried fish!
I'm a pretty plain Jane cook. I usually just use salt, pepper, onion salt and garlic salt.
My plans for Labor Day were to just chill and rest and recooperate from this virus.
and the last one (I think)...
My favorite breakfast meat is bacon.
So, I think that I am caught up. All this talk of food is making me hungry, which is good since I haven't had much of an appetite for the last two weeks. We did get Carol moved into her dorm and fortunately she did not catch this nasty virus. I was sick when we moved her in. Thought that some of the reason I felt bad was cause we were moving her out of the house and not that I was actually sick. Oh well, at least no one has gotten sick because of me.
