I'm organized, but very, very messy, especially when I'm on one of my infrequent baking binges. I tend to make a big mess, but put all the ingredients away as I go. Then leave a mountain of dishes to clean up afterwards. dzee, I feel for you, with your lack of counter space. I live in a house that circa early 1950's and the counters prior to our renovation many years ago were only a foot wide (I'm not kidding!), but I've had to learn how work with it, and the kitchen reno we did 8 years ago really helped with the counter space issues. But a small kitchen is still one after the best of renos, and you just learn to live with it. Have a great day everyone!

Trish

We had the same kitchen problem in the old house. When we bought the house the kitchen was circa 1920's and it was barely a kitchen! There was absolutely no counter space and the whole kitchen area was poorly utilized! It was a nightmare! Let's just say we didn't buy the house because of the gourmet kitchen!!:lmao: It took 7 months for them to finish the kitchen and it was well worth the wait! At least I had great space to work with and was awesome for holidays! NOW! I'm back to square 1! Not sure I want to sink a lot of money into this one though! We don't plan on staying here for ever! So an expensive redo wouldn't be the best way to go for us! Ahhh maybe some day I will have the kitchen I always dreamed of, I guess it just won't be in this house!!:cloud9::confused3;)

We have one with our cable box. We use it to record shows if we are out or if there are 2 shows on at once and we can't watch both. We like Ugly Betty,The Closer ,CSI Las Vegas,Burn Notice,Ghost Whisper,Castle, just to name a few. I am also an old movie junkie so some of the space is taken up with my movies!!! Needless to say DH goes crazy when the recording time is low and usually guess who's fault it is.............:confused3;):rotfl:

Sorry if I'm a step behind with my answers and my exchanges but last week we lost our beloved pet. She got very ill very quickly and passed away in my DH arms. I'm so glad she wasn't alone! The kids are taking it very hard as we all are. She was part of our family for so long and they grew up with her. My DD doesn't remember a time that Mica wasn't in our lives. My DHs b-day was the next day and it was a very sad day. We all felt really sorry for him.
And to top off a really bad start to the week I came down with pneumonia a few days latter. So needless to say the last 9 days have not been very good around our household.

So sorry to hear about the loss of your furbaby  It is always so hard. My guy is getting up there and I dread the day.
Hope you are feeling better now too.

My dream kitchen is waiting for me in AZ....I want to get there soooo badly!!
We are lowering our house price again this weekend  If this doesn't do it, not sure what we will do. We really can't afford to go much lower :( Very depressing.

But, on a happy note, our landscaping went in last week :yay: I have to wait until Aug. to see if, but I am excited about it.

I am feeling much better now, thank you. Just that lingering cough. As for our baby thank you for your kind words. I think that will take some time to get over...for all of us.
I bet you can't wait to get to your new house and I can't say I blame you! I certainly can feel for you though! We still have our old house too! The market took a nose dive before we could sell it so we still have that noose around our necks!:confused3:sad2::laughing: We do have some one living there for the time being and that's helping out a little. But I am certainly tired of paying 2 of ever thing!
I hope that you don't have to lower the price any more and some one comes along and falls in love with it and buys it! Have you buried a St Joseph statuette in the ground in the back yard? It's said he is suppose to help with the sale of a house. If you haven't already tried it, maybe it couldn't hurt......:confused3;)

Did it work for you? :rotfl:
DD is living in the new house...all 3500 sf of it :teeth: Lucky girl, so at least we have someone watching it. And yes, paying for 2 of everything is sure no fun!!

It does take a lot of adjustment when you lose a furbaby. We lost my dear girl 1 1/2 years ago and I still miss her so much. We had her cremated and her urn looks like 2 library books and sits on my computer disk.
The boy we still has has arthtitis and I sure would like to get him to AZ too. I think he will like the heat.

Sorry to hear about your loss. :(

We do have a DVR, but I can't figure it out.

Now that I read some of you have DVR with your cable box, we might also. :confused3

Name three types of foods/drinks that your state/town is famous for.

I had to name more then 3 :rolleyes1
1. Hershey Chocolate
2. Tastykake
3. Peeps
5. Philly Cheesesteaks and Pretzles
4. Hinze ketchup

Sorry Kim, I am all about NY pizza.

Me too! and I love Philly style pretzles, and I want to try a real Philly cheesesteak. And there is no chocolate like Hershey's chocolate!

My town is famous for:
!. Sushi (largest Chinatown in North America)
2. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and cranberries
3. BC is famous for our salmon

Have a great day everyone!

Trish

Elbow noodles and tomatoes.

Cook your noodles to your liking, drain and add back to hot pot, adding some butter.
Open a can of crushed tomatoes and add to the noodles, stirring until heated through.
(Depends on how many people you are feeding, as to how much noodles you cook and how many cans of tomatoes you use.)

What is your most favorite type of pasta, and sauce?

Come to Chicago!!! :thumbsup2 What NY pizza do you get in PA anyway? ;)

We have a few parlors where the cook is originally from NY.

I did that with our old house! I felt so bad--I wrapped him up in a plastic bag. they even sell kits now! :lmao: I think he needs to be upside down. I called a local place at the time--it was actually an abbey...didn't know that!...and asked if they sold them. the line went quiet and then the nun said "are you planning to bury that poor man!?" He has a prominent place in my kitchen now.

Sorry for your loss! It's so hard..they're family.

Nancy...it's spring, so maybe that will help your house. pixiedust:
