Happy Girls Day!!!

If you were to invent a new sandwich for McDonalds, what would it consist of, and what would you name it?

I would have to say the McScorcher... A chicken Patty coated in spicy buffalo sauce and topped with blue cheese crumbs... Mmmmmm...

Hey everyone! I've been out of the loop for the past four days. I went with the drill team to Galveston for a competition. It's good to be back home.

What sort of activities or outgoings do you, and your family like to go on, or attend?
Whatever strikes our fancy.

If there were to be one restaurant, and one store to come into your town, which ones would you choose?
Restaurant - a buffet type place
Store - a book store

I would name it "McWhachamacallit"

It would bottom layer bun
burger with cheese, ketchup & mustard & pickle
bun layer
chicken patty with bacon, lettuce, special sauce
topped with a bun

I myself would never eat it. :rotfl2:

And we've been hit with one sickness after the other. Eldest has a stomach virus, youngest as strep, DH had Shingles and I'm still recovering from the stomach bug. Been sick all weekend, but I did lose 4 pounds. ;)

I have an exchange to shop for, but I don't want to send these cooties to a new home, so I will be ordering online.

Hmm...something that had ham on it since our Mcdonalds doesn't serve any Ham and Cheese..

What are your top five favorite desserts?
This is a hard one. Let's see.....

Peach cobbler
Lemon pound cake
Lime sherbet
Snickerdoodles
Cinnamon roll pizza
Plain cheese cake (sorry, had to add a 6th)
Chocolate cake without icing (and a 7th)

As Spring is here, the sun is settings later so we are having longer periods of daylight time. What are some late afternoon activities that you like to do to take advantage of this?

While I don't really have a choice, we are entering into baseball season. This is my son's last season of High School, so guess what I'll be doing 3 days a week. You got it, watching games, I love watching his games, I'll miss it when he graduates. Not sure how many college games we'll get to next year since he'll be about 5 hours away.

sitting on the porch with something good on the grill- we have started already

Just sitting outside on the patio talking with Joe. I do miss the spring sports activities that my kids used to do.

DO late afternoon naps count? :)

Back in the real world, I will be taking my DD4 to soccer practice and running out of excuses to skip the gym...

We like to grill as well, water our plants, and let the kids play outside for a longer period of time.

What is for dinner tonight?

Today's QOTD is-What would you make with the following ingredients?
*Peanuts-
*Pork-
*Slices of American cheese-
*Lettuce-
*Shrimp-

Hello Everyone!! I'm just checking in. I haven't been doing to much lately. I've been pretty sick.

We had really bad storm last night - this morning I found our trampoline 4 feet off the ground into the trees!! :scared1: So it's been fun trying to get it down!!

So for the QOTD
-What would you make with the following ingredients?
*Peanuts-
*Pork-
*Slices of American cheese-
*Lettuce-
*Shrimp-

I have no idea!! But I can tell you nothing with the lettuce. It's strictly for sandwiches and only DH's at that!! I guess I would coat the pork with crushed peanuts and bake it, then in the last few mins throw the cheese on top. I'd just cook the shrimp normally.

We had Green Chile Chicken and Salad tonight.

With those ingredients, I would make the world worst wrap :)

No, I would probably make Bacon Wrapped Shrimp w/ cheese served on a bed of lettuce... uhhh.. and peanuts

All of the ingredients do not have to be mixed to make one dish. You can use each ingredient given, and make a entree each :). But, the both of you are very creative.

Since I just saw the question this morning, I'll answer for both days. We had Tacos last night and are having Chicken Cornbread Casserole tonight.

*Peanuts- Peanut Clusters
*Pork- grill it
*Slices of American cheese- grilled cheese sandwiches
*Lettuce- salad
*Shrimp- broil it

I would be glad to. It's very easy.

1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1 pkg corn muffin mix
chicken

In a saucepan, blend together soup and milk. Heat until bubbly. Turn into a 9X9X2 inch pan. Add chicken, distributing evenly. Meanwhile, prepare corn muffin mix according to package directions. Spread over chicken mixture. Bake at 425 degrees about 20 minutes or until brown.

Note: the recipe calls for 2 cans (5 1/2 oz ea.) boned chicken. Instead I cook either two chicken breasts or four thighs and cut them into bite size pieces.

I also add a tablespoon of sugar to the cornbread mix if it is not pre-sweetened. My aunt who gave me the recipe uses Jiffy cornbread mix but I find that too sweet. I prefer to use Martha White's yellow cornbread mix and add sugar to it.
