Either as you were growing up, or now as an adult...if it snowed in your area, what do you remember about it? Making a snowman, drinking hot chocolate, pushing the snow...

And if you are like me which we don't get snow at our house, what do you wish you could do if it snowed at your house?

I hate snow ;) It is pretty to look at, but a pain to drive in. Our area is not set up for it....so my memories are not good ones....like sliding side ways down the hill  Worrying about the kids when they were out driving.

It is snowing right now....and DH is coming home today, so has to drive 65 miles from the airport tonight :(

I love a pretty snow but hate the look once the roads are plowed and dirty. I love to sled ride, make snow angels, make snowmen, build snow forts and have snow wars with bottle rocks.

We received about 3-4 inches of snow this past Wednesday. I worried the whole day since I have 2 young drivers who hasn't driven much in the snow. Once each and everyone of us was home safely, I could relax myself and enjoy the rest of the evening.

I have never really enjoyed the snow, I get cold so easy and would rather stay inside next to the fire. Now when the kids were younger we did go out sledding and skiing, but now I prefer staying indoors.

I loved the snow. The city always looked fresh and clean and magical when it snowed. (Afterwards when it got plowed and turned dirty it was ugly) We had relatives out on Long Island and I remember sliding down hills, making snow angels, building forts and having snowball fights with my brothers.

Now I really miss the snow. I miss all the changes in the seasons. Especially at this time of year, when it is supposed to be cold. Today and all this week they say it will be in the 80's and my A/C is humming along again. Bah humbug.

I'd definately go with barbecue for a catered meal. Probably Soul Man's but if Tony Romas baby back ribs are still as good as they used to be I'd rather go with them. I'd have ribs, brisket, coleslaw, potato salad, baked beans, fried okra, corn on the cob and peach cobbler. Yum, yum!!

Snow, snow, snow! We never get enough! We usually get ice. And what we usually get is dry, not packable. Every now and then we do get the good kind so we can make snowmen. I remember once when I was young throwing snowballs at the living room window. My sister was on the other side. She was sick and couldn't go out to play.

The most special event this year was probably the trip I took to Branson with the band.

We got a lot of snow in SW PA growing up, and there were huge hills, so there was always a great place to sled, or dig out tunnels to crawl through.

Now, tho....I"m so glad my kids are old enough to play in it by themselves! I get out their snow pants and boots, and make hot chocolate and cookies when they come in.

Christmas carolers had just arrived at your doorstep. Which Christmas :santa: carol do you wish to hear?

Which carol do you wish not to hear?

I like all the Christmas carols. What I wouldn't like would be for them to sing more than two songs or more than two verses of a song.

:rotfl2: Nobody would walk up the 500' drive to sing to us.

So if they did, they could sing all they want, whatever they want.

Rice - just add stir fry

Noodle - chicken spaghetti

The above is subject to change depending upon what sounds good at the moment. ;)

I don't touch fruit cake but DH loves it. I order the Monk's fruit cake for him each year. He was so excited it arrived he had to have a piece. It is getting smaller every day.

I love rice & pasta. You could add anything to either (except brussel sprouts & liver) and I would probably eat it.

I don't do fruit cake.

I don't believe I've ever tasted a fruit cake. I've only heard all the jokes about them. All those green and red candied things turn me off but if those were left out and a lot of nuts were added I might be willing to try it. I know that they have lots of different kinds out there now.

My dad loves his fruit cake, so I buy it for him each Christmas. I have tried it, and I am not a fan of it, but will eat a few bites.

I am making a batch of chocolate chip biscotti. I am not a fan of the real crunchy ones since I don't dip them in coffee, but will probably make these hard so that I can package them up for gifts....so today's QOTD is-

Are you a fan of biscotti? If so, what types do you like?
