If you had a guest visit you who has never visited your state before, what three attractions or things would you take them to/do?

I missed this question! Obviously, I'd take them to WDW! I'd also take them to both coasts to see the Atlantic beaches and the Gulf beaches, and to Kennedy Space Center.

Thinking of chinese food, I'd like to learn how to make chicken with broccoli that actually tastes like the one from the chinese restaurant. Sounds like a simple dish, but it isn't. I have no idea what they put in their sauce, but I can't duplicate it. Not even close!

I'd also like to know how to make a good pie crust.

How does the chicken and brocolli dish taste like? Is it similar to the way that they make beef brocolli?

Today we had gone to a parade, and there were people from Washington passing out apples since that is what their state is known for. What would you pass out to signify the state that you are from?

I guess that has me covered.
Although apples are only in the eastern part of the state....and I really don't like WA apples (red delicious).
I would go for salmon.

I get to pass out buckeyes.

The Buckeye is the state tree, but the buckeyes I would pass out are not the nuts from the tree. These are peanut butter balls covered in chocolate with a little bit of pb still showing, like an eye.

I wasn't thinking of whole salmons, although that would be a GOOD give-away.
More along the lines of samples of smoked salmon.....which they do around here all the time.

Cookie Turkeys

Recipe By :Quick Cooking
Serving Size : 20 Preparation Time :0:00
Categories : Cookies Formed


Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
40 fudge-striped shortbread cookie
1/4 cup chocolate frosting
10 ounces chocolate covered cherries
20 pieces candy corn

Place 20 cookies on a flat surface, solid chocolate side down.
With frosting, attach a chocolate covered cherry to the top of each base
cookie.
Position another cookie perpendicular to each base cookie. Attach with
frosting.
With a dab of frosting, attach one piece of candy corn to the front of each
cherry for the head.
Let stand until set.

Yes, it is sort of similar, but it is spicier. It is just white meat chicken, broccoli florets, slices of carrot, water chestnuts and some kind of light brown sauce. It is the sauce that makes the dish delicious and unique.

Probably oranges. This is the sunshine state, and I remember years ago when my Aunts used to go to Florida on vacation they always sent my parents a box of oranges.

Sounds good. I know that the beef brocolli recipe that I have uses oyster sauce, so it sounds different then the recipe that you are looking for, sorry.
