I'm a tomboy so I loved to play football, baseball, basketball, kick ball, volleyball, and dodge ball.

I am great at strategy and trivia games so I also loved board games and playing cards.

I hated dodge ball!
I am so clumsy, I couldn't get out of my own way, let alone a whizzing ball. :rotfl:

I liked
catscradle
the hand games-Miss Lucy, Mary Mack, etc.
monopoly
Clue
battleship
bicycle tag/flashlite tag/freez tag
hopscotch
Uno
Old maid/go fish

Yup, little ol'nerd child here.

It was fun to read what games ya'll liked to play when you were a child. It brought back so many memories and made my list longer!

hopscotch
Clue
Red Rover
Life

If you were to go on a cruise, what company would you go with, and what destination would you like to go too?

Disney of course! ;) Actually, I have only been on 3 cruises in my life, all of them Disney ones. I would like to go on a cruise to Alaska sometime in my life.

What games did you enjoy playing as a child?

We played a lot of neighborhood games:

hide and seek
red light, green light 1,2,3
hopscotch
jumprope
roller skating
bike riding

and inside games:

Clue
Monopoly
Barbies and her dream house or pool
fort (with my brothers, the furniture and some sheets strategically draped)
cards - canasta, rummy, blackjack

51, no plans, it will be Carol's senior year so most activities will be centered around her.

If you were to celebrate Chinese New Year at your house, what would you do, and what type of foods would you serve?

I've never celebrated Chinese New Year before. I don't even know when it is. I would guess we'd pick up our favorite chinese take out to eat if we did.

Clean the house in the days before, because we can't clean during the celebrations. The belief is you will sweep away the good luck.

How old will you be on your next birthday, and do you have any plans?

44 My birthday falls on Cinco de Mayo, which has always been a wonderful way to celebrate! Margaritas--yum!

DSs love Chinese food, so take out for sure. I always say I'd love to learn how to make steamed dumplings or egg rolls...maybe this year.

I like this!! Can I use this excuse for other holidays as well??? ;)

Hey guys! Sorry to be MIA for so long. Things are settling down a bit again so I thought I would pop over to say HI!

If you were to celebrate Chinese New Year at your house, what would you do, and what type of foods would you serve?

We live near and AMAZING Chinatown area. In the few days around the New Year, we take the kids over there for a nice Dim Sum celebration (The kids love having Dim Sum and there are always the special dishes that they have out.) It is also really nice to just walk around and see all the decorations. We just steer away from all the firecrackers.

If I were serving, we would have TONS of dumplings - again a benefit of being close by, all kinds available.
