I'll do it all this weekend....well except the outside ones. I can take down the lawn ornaments but DH has to do the house lights.

The house always looks so sad and plain after Christmas:sad1:

On Christmas Eve we went to our friend's home for a get together. After we attended Midnight Mass. We got home at 2:30 am. I was driving and 1/2 mile from our home a draft horse was walking up my lane toward me. Then I was driving down my driveway and there is a 3 foot skunk 15 feet off the driveway and about 50 feet from my garage. I hightailed it into the garage and started to shut the garage door even before turning off the engine. I did not want that skunk in the garage with us!!! I have never seen a skunk in our yard or a horse walking on the road the entire 15 years we have lived here!

First, so sorry about the loss of your furbaby.

Now to catch up:

Spent Christmas Eve & Day at my ILs. Nothing super special. My MIL cooked us a very nice Christmas Day dinner.

My favorite gift this year was a new kitchen sink. :teeth:

My least favorite was the mess left behind putting in said kitchen sink. :rotfl2:

We didn't do much decorating this year, so the wreath on the door will come down tomorrow and that is all I have to do. :thumbsup2

Just one, luckily. Not a bad gift. Just nothing we want or need, and just one more thing to stash away. :sad2:

Merry Christmas!

Nancy, so sorry to hear about your cat. :sad2:

I've missed so many questions. It was the season of giving at our house--DSs gave each other a stomach virus last week! I got a sinus infection, with pink eye and gave that to oldest DS. Luckily, everyone was feeling better by Christmas. I can't even remember if I already posted that!

Cards--I didn't get ours out until a few days ago! The list fluctuates each year--add some, cut some. I thought I had more than enough and ran out by the end and had to get more.

I leave our tree up until at least New Years day. I used to leave it up through Orthodox Christmas (Jan 7) but it's too much work to put everything up to take it down too soon!

We used to go back to Pittsburgh for all the holidays, but don't anymore. So I try to make Christmas Eve the way I remember it...fried calamari and fish like my Noni used to do it. But didn't even do that this year.

I'm typing on my favorite gift--a new imac. I didn't get anything bad this year, so I'll have to look at tucked away never used gifts from past years for the exchange!

I'm not sure that I'll make any resolutions this year. I do want to continue trying to lose weight.

No resolutions. If I need to think of something to change, then I had better change it regardless of the time of year.

penn - glad everyone is finally feeling better!! We celebrate Russian Christmas (as we call it) too. :thumbsup2

Glad everyone is feeling better, Lynne.

REsolutions.....just to get back to the healthier eating plan ....and take a few trips.

To get better organized then I was this year. It is hard with an infant running around, and having his own thinking.

I've been buying calendars for my kids from calendars.com for the last couple of years.

BarnesandNoble.com is another place I purchase from.

Amazon.com is a place I go to for those hard to find gifts.

Target.com also.
