I like the strawberry smoothie that Carol makes for me where she works at Bahama Bucks. It consists of strawberries, strawberry flavoring, banana flavoring, vanilla ice cream, pineapple syrup and cream.

I would donate it to the Save the Manatee fund, Manatees are my fav. animal and they are an endangered species.

I would donate my winnings to the American Cancer Association.
I have had many loved ones affected by this terrible sickness, and I wish that there was a cure for it.

Unfortunately, there have been too many different cancers for me to send to just one foundation.

Hey guys! I just realized I have not posted over since since getting back from the trip. I am still in denial that we are home I think..haha

I have been busy working on my trip report and dining reviews too.

I hope everyone has been doing well.

If you were to drink a smoothie, what would you have in it?

That is so hard. I guess I would split it between helping to research cancer in children, juvenile diabetes foundation and make a wish!

hmm.. I would need to spend a while thinking on this one...haha

Mine would be based on the Incredibles.
It would be a simulation type ride in that the car does all the moving for you.
You would be a new super hero and be testing out your powers AND your new suit. (like when the mom watches all the suites being tested) So you would get bounced around a bit and lots of different scents & hot/cold/windy stuff. It would be Wicked!

I have a question for all of you-
My daughter is in her first year of school, and I knew this was coming, but she mentioned about having to ask family and friends for money. She was talking about the Turkey Trot which is a way for her school to raise funds to help buy or upgrade equipment within their school. Then, all the children who had collected money, will be able to participate in a fun day like thing held on the field.
She was soooo excited in having to do a task, that she started asking my mom for money yesterday . I mentioned to her that we didn't get the sign up envelope yet, and maybe it will come in the Thursday envelope tomorrow.
So, here is my question-how do you raise money for things like this? Do you go out and ask family, and friends for donations, or just donate out of your own pocket?
We will be making a donation, but Shayla would like to ask others as well, and I am for it as long as she is the one asking. A couple dollars...anything would help. I think Brandon may even donate some money to his big sister.

I am not that creative, but it would be something similar to the It's a Small World Ride. Something that is fun, yet something that anyone could ride. From a few weeks old to your later years.

A vacation of the month would be great as long as I didn't have to fly. Maybe a dinner or tickets to the musicals or something would be good too with a chauffer included.

Patsy, fundraisers are hard. Some of them are such a joke. Does Shayla have to do something or is she just asking for money? The band Carol is in is hosting a car wash this Saturday. Their goal is to wash 250 cars and are taking pledges on the number of cars they wash, so a person can pledge a certain amount of money per car.

With Carol being in band and drill this year, we are having to be very careful not to hit the same people up too many times for fundraisers. In fact, I keep very good records on the neighborhoods that she goes to and for what. Her current drill team fundraiser is to sell eight posters of the drill team. We are going to end up buying out on this one because who wants that poster?
