Do you have cable TV?

We did all the way up until we moved a few months ago. Now, we just have Netflix. I know I can also go online and there are sites I can use to watch other tv shows, but I don't really miss it as much as I thought I would. I definitely don't miss commercials or political ads. :thumbsup2

Yes. And until I had seen on message boards that some people did not have it, I thought that everyone did.

No, we don't have it. It would be nice sometimes to have it but we can't justify the expense. We did have it briefly 20+ years ago when we lived in Dallas.

Have you ever attended one of your high school reunions?

I have not. Not sure if I will in the future. :confused3

Nope, never have.

OT...but has anyone here ever sprained their finger? My son did today when a basketball had hit his finger. Any advice?

Patsy, sorry to hear that your son got hurt. When my oldest broke his finger, the doctor gave us a finger splint to use, so his finger would be immobilized and protected. Did you have to take him to see a doc? Hope he feels better soon.

My husband had put on a splint, and it was on for hours, but since it has been taken off. We have an appointment with the doctors tomorrow morning. I don't think it is broken, but he does say that it is sore.

I hope he feels better soon. I'm sure a little TLC and some ice cream will help the healing. :goodvibes

I haven't. I missed my first one and haven't gone to any others. There's only been three 10 year ones. They've grouped all the 70's into one large group on Facebook and they get together a couple of times a year. There's really not any friends that I had back in high school that I really care to hang out with.

Hopefully it's just a sprain and he's back to normal soon.

I remember once when I used to play basketball (years and years ago) the ball hitting my left ring finger real hard. I looked down at it and it was pointing back at me from the second joint right above my ring. :scared1: The ball had dislocated my finger. One of the coaches put it back in place and my mom took me to the doctor the next day. He put it in a splint for about a week. It turned all sorts of pretty colors. To this day, my finger will lock in place sometimes when I'm holding stuff because of it. It doesn't hurt but I can feel the pressure.

My mom is reading a book that was written by a Hospice worker. The worker would talk to the patients, and ask them what would be there top things that they wished they had done while they were healthy. Some would say that they would have liked to have more fun instead of just concentrating so much time working. Others said that they would have liked to tasted more delicious foods-(since they are not able to taste/or much during chemo therapy).....

So todays QOTD is-

If you were to select three things that would be on your list of things you would like to do, see, eat, experience....before you die, what would they be?

I think that more than anything, I'd like to travel more with my family. See some famous sites, and enjoy some not-so-famous places. :)

Traveling for me too. I'd like to tour Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, up in that area. I'd like to do a road trip up the Pacific coast. I'd like to go to Hawaii.

I would like to ride in a helicopter, go zip lining, and visit all of the disney parks

This QOTD is from my DD.....

What was your most favorite t.v. show as a child?
That's a really hard question because there were a lot of shows I liked as a kid. I'm assuming you meant grade school and younger?

Slam Bang Theatre
The Red Skelton Show
Wonderful World of Disney
Mr. Peppermint
Romper Room
Batman

just to name a few. And that doesn't count all the cartoons.....

If you were to visit a clairvoyant, what do you wish they would tell you? Pick up to three different things.
