In spirit of this thread (not really ;) ) I had the pasta at Cap'n Jack's for lunch. :lmao: It was Penne Pasta Alfredo with the blue crab meat. Can't go wrong with crab meat. :thumbsup2 And I brought half of it home for leftovers.
So I guess whatever pasta I order is my favorite at the time. :lmao:

With spaghetti I like a home made bolognese sauce. To make this I:
Chop and fry an onion and clove of garlic.
Add minced beef (ground beef )
Add tin chopped tomatoes
Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (or fresh basil, oregano, chives, dill and parsley if our herb pots are in season.)
Add a pint of beef stock.
Add a small glass of red wine.
Thicken with tomato puree
Add chopped carrots, chopped bell pepper (any colour, though usually red), diced mushrooms.
Leave to simmer and thicken.
When finished serve over the spaghetti and grate a little fresh nutmeg and parmasan cheese.

I love red sauce with a bit of a red pepper kick. Mmmmm....

Exercise machines.....

Do you own any, and if so do you use them? Is there anything in particular that you would like to have?

I had a walker for years and used it quite a lot, but got rid of it when I got the Wii fit.

I have a basic treadmill which I like very much. But I do wish that the arms were a little longer. I walk six days a week and sometimes I would like to hold onto them when I walk.

Sometimes I wouldn't mind having a recumbent bike.

I had a treadmill that I sold when we moved to FL. That think took up so much room. It was like having a sofa.
Now I have a gazelle glider. It's quiet and I can watch TV while using it. (Another thing about the treadmill, it was so noisy I had to turn the TV up too loud to hear anything.)
I stopped using it once I got a bad case of Plantar Fasciitis. (Which had nothing to do with the gazelle.)
So I need to get back in the habit again. It's not a lot of exercise. (They way I use it. ;) ) But I figure it's better than sitting and just watching TV.

I have an old eliptical machine that we don't use much.

I've got an elipitcial machine that I should be using far more than what I do.

What are your top three most favorite catchiest tv theme songs?
The first one I thought of right off the bat was The Brady Bunch. Then I hit a wall and decided to wait and see what other people wrote hoping it would jar my memory. The other two would be The Jeffersons (isn't that the moving on up?) and Cheers.

Yes Jeffersons is moving on up.

My third would be M*A*S*H.

Speaking of theme songs -- have you seen this (youtube)?

Stairway to Gilligan's Island

Many years ago I recall when Dr Demento played that. The song was done by Roger and the Goosebumps. And apparently Led Zepplin did not have a sense of humor and made the song recalled. I have read the only difference is something like one note.
