Wow Patsy, that is a lot of ornaments.

I don't ever remember getting an interesting gift, my dh and family are pretty good at getting me things that I like.

Same here. DH tends to get me things that I can use, although this year he got me a Sony digital pic frame that holds 4000 pics that I immediatly downloaded just over 2000 pics off my memory card, a comb of my solo trip and Christmas. Once I set it up, it's pretty neat to see all the pics that I've taken over the past couple of months, especially the ones from DL.

Yes that is alot of ornaments. I didn't think there were that many on there, but ornaments were on the tips of the branches, hiding inside of the tree.....

I didn't get an interesting gift this year. But Joe, as usual, gave me something that he can use. :rotfl: This year was a space heater.

Hmm I can't really think of an interesting gift, I usually know what I'm getting or have asked for it

What are your plans for New Years Eve, and New Years Day?

Are you planning on making anything special to snack on or for dinner? Feel free to share any recipes. :goodvibes

We don't do anything for New Years and we never go out.

Haven't had piggies in a blanket in a long time, just might make some to snack on.

INGREDIENTS
1 (8-oz.) can Pillsbury® Refrigerated Crescent Dinner Rolls
24 fully cooked cocktail wieners
Ketchup, Mustard

DIRECTIONS

1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease cookie sheet. Unroll dough; separate into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles.
2. Place 1 wiener on shortest side of each triangle; roll up to opposite point. Place, point side down, on greased cookie sheet.
3. Bake at 375°F. for 11 to 15 minutes or until deep golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Serve with ketchup and or mustard.

DH and I have never really been into going out for NYE, so we'll just hang out at home with our DSs. I doubt we'll be up to see the ball drop.

We make these, and I actually made them last year for New Years Eve. I like them.

We don't normally go out for NYE but this year we are attending our niece's engagement party this year and will be toasting them at midnight.

I like to snack on NYE, things like chips and dip, little smokies, etc.

As far as plans for NYD, we don't have any. I found out today that it will cost as much to fix my car as it's worth so we may be car shopping that day. :sad1:

I'll need to eat a lot of blackeyed peas for good luck.

NYE Day is a regular work day for me. DH is off, and on vacation.
But most likely we will just veg out NYE evening.
NYD, no plans.
But we have plans next week. We are planning to finally make it to Harry Potterland. We just want to check it out. And I have been wanting to try that Butter Beer almost everyone raves about.
We have seen the first movie when it was first released. So do not know that series too much. But I do not know much about Star Wars and always enjoy SWW. :darth:
We figured a weekday after the first of the year is a good time to go to USO/IoA.
Also next week we have an ADR at Flying Fish. :woohoo:

No NYE/NYD plans. But some nice ones next week to celebrate the new year. :hourglass

NYE I will be at home I'm sure. Im not big on going out. I'll probably watch the MTV NY specials and watch the ball drop :)

I like to snack and drink margaritas or something fun!

NYD I will probably hit up a bookstore or something

For New Years Eve, we are having my relatives over to pop fireworks. We will be grilling, and making some other snacks.

And on New Years Day, it is almost like any other day, except that we will make a special dinner, and like last year, I wanted to go to the store.

Search online for a country that you think has a neat way of celebrating New Years/a New Years tradition.
