Exchange Quick Service/Snack Credit Update

Hi guys,
I just got back and wanted to let everyone know that I was able to exchange my extra QS meals for 3 SC!!! (I had 6 QS and got 18 snacks!). I know not many people have had luck with this since the beginning of the year so I thought I would pass it on- I was able to do it this morning at Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary.

I am not sure if it made a difference, but I did not ask for it- We had breakfast at CM and went to Contempo with the goal to buy actual QS meals that would travel well so we would not lose our credits. I went to the counter to ask what they recommended and a manager happened to be there. She told me I could make the exchange. We got drinks, cookies, cupcakes, boxed cereals, rice krispie treats...it was awesome! After we selected everything I went and gave her an extra thank you for making my day.

Great to hear! We used quite a few of our CS last year for 3 snacks. I hope it's a change in policy and not just a random thing.

good news!!

I tried to do this at the Boardwalk Bakery in Jan 2011. One CM told me yes, so we ordered a whole bunch of snacks. When we went to pay, the grumpy cashier said no way, no how. So I bought the baked goods as QS meals (breakfast...so we got really little out of it), and told her to trash the rest. It was already packaged and a bit crushed by that point so no way they could resell it.

Thinking about it, she probably ate them! LOL!

It wasn;t a big deal as I hadn't expected to be able to do it. It's just that one CM had already told us yes, we had ordered the stuff, and she had even packaged them up....seemed rather silly to me plus of course, she was just grumpy through the whole process. Still, we enjoyed our breakfast from the Boardwalk Bakery We had gone out of our way to go there (I was thoroughly bored of Pop's Bounty Platter by then) and it was worth it!

We were unable to do this at POR in dec 2010. We always seem to have leftover QS meals and it would be so wonderful to get snacks instead of buying them before we leave! I hope we are able to this year!

Anyone else able to do this? We will be going to Universal Studios for 2 days and paying OOP for a few TS meals so I have been thinking of ways to use up my QS meals. I have a feeling I will have a few extra.

Hi guys,
a manager happened to be there. She told me I could make the exchange.

I think this is the key. A manager can allow it, but a cashier can't just choose to do it anymore.

Cashier at CSR did it for us in January. Said it was no problem. We got enough snacks to make it all the way home. We got some really good stuff like containers of fruit as well as some true junk food. Kids loved that big bag to graze from all the way home.

Even from past years, it seems a lot more likely to get done at a Resort food court, so it doesn't surprise me that the Boardwarlk Bakery had problems doing it.

We just got back from POR and they did not allow it there. We used all our credits but SIL and her family ended up with 13 meal credits leftover We had the DxDP and it definately did not work for them!

It worked for us in March. We stayed at the GF and I had a bunch left over. The cashier let us exchange the CS for 3 snacks each.
